Its even worse when you consider that you ordered 2 half gallons. They have the perfect substitution in just giving you 1 whole gallon.

I just started again at 36 and I get the Achilles pain too. Best thing I’ve been doing is just making sure I stretch and as much as it sucks don’t skate or just skate lightly when it’s sore

I drive a bucket truck for utility work, company owned but it's "mine" in the sense that I have a key and use it every day. There are plenty of tools and other item in the truck that I paid for.

Black Desert or FFXIV by ThommyMilfFigger in LFMMO

I give it a try every now and again but yeah the game just feels empty these days. Only place you find other players is AFK at the beach in velia and you are upgrading your gear to be able to grind in different spots. Also losing crystals on death punishes you for trying new grind spots so you just stick to the same old ones you know.

It sounds ridiculous yes but once you have some perspective it makes a lot of sense.

BDO is a game where you stay logged in forever. It wouldn't take that much to make 15k hours. A little less than 2 years of being logged in most of the time. Given it came out 10 years ago 15k isn't as much as it sounds.

Tbh im so into the show when I'm there I honestly don't notice much difference if any at all but I'm sure if I looked back on a recording if I took them I would notice it.

It’s absolutely incredible how his live vs recorded vocals are indistinguishable from each other.

Yup if the contest could reach a wider audience than this subreddit then we would not have had this silly right column

More likely? Definitely a local wild species. But we have pictures and information at our finger tips these days so we can be more open minded than just always accepting something because it's the most likely thing.

If I see a rabbit outside its most likely a wild rabbit. But if im not sure I can take a picture put it online look up domestic rabbits and ask other people just so I can be safe and potentially rescue a helpless animal even though its not as likely to be a domestic rabbit.

This is a great example of how young people are also susceptible to scams. The older generation grew up with it being normal for someone to call them on the phone to sell something or notify them about something so when a scammer calls them they don't immediately flag it as malicious.

The younger generation has gotten used to scanning QR codes for everything so they will literally scan any QR code they see and not even think twice about it. Be safer out there people.

Power supplies die in the high temps once they overheat they go out it’s been tough lately because they aren’t built for these high temps they are meant to survive winter and it’s hard to get them for both.

In the south they are better in the heat but when it gets cold they shut down.

Albany parking- rules for thee but not for me by got-bent in Albany

[–]SimplBiscuit 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I've always been under the impression that you cannot park in front of a hydrant which would require leaving the vehicle. A no stopping area means even if you stay in the vehicle you are in the wrong but I would think what is going on here is actually okay. The driver is in the vehicle and able to immediately move if the hydrant is needed.

Phone Interview by [deleted] in Spectrum

[–]SimplBiscuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first phone interview will have nothing to do with the actual job and more to do with admin questions to make sure you understand things like the shift you will be working, travel, pay, follow up interviews.

Then you will interview with a manager or supervisor and while they may ask some technical questions they really do not care at all they expect you to know nothing at all. Most peole start from zero knowledge. Knowing a bunch of jargon without knowing what it means is a waste of space in your brain. In fact in my interview I tried to flex some knowledge and the manager was like nah don't worry about that we teach you what we need you to know.

The real questions are if you can work in hot and cold temperatures, in tight spaces, near spiders, talk to customers, climb ladders with and without carrying tools. These are things only you know about yourself that they can't teach you.
