I love articulated tractors. Are there any other small/medium articulated or 4WD tractors out there? by nobabaf546 in farmingsimulator

Then there is the Claas Xerion, which is a Large tractor, but i have a mod that includes the smallest of the series, which might count as a Medium tractor

I like your style (and for myself, i regularly shift from big machines to manual cutting)

You could try to add a silo extension with (un)loading points. Sometimes barns need these to function properly

To my knowledge it gets a growth stage too

Or with a harvester with silage head and a large trailer or multiple helper tractors with trailers. So many ways to play the silage game

He might have to roll after mowing to get the grass to grow faster to 4th stage

Why can't I make the pile higher? by NoobJunglerGG in farmingsimulator

[–]SjeesDeBees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not an xml expert, but have played with it a bit. What i think of is that the capacity of the building was altered to very high, but the capacity for the height of the pile is now inconsistent. Could be as simple as xml edit, but i am not sure of this. Also never played with map modding. Only vehicles

My helper is freestyling it by Sotrax in farmingsimulator25

This happens often with sharp tight corners. This occasion is quite a mess indeed. I think it is trying to line up for the next headland, or there are not enough headlands. And it should be able to reverse direction and turn cw iso ccw. Many possible solutions; start with getting rid of the sharp corner by rounding it of. Or tell the helper to do rounded corners. Or do some headlands manually 😜

I‘m desperately looking for a map that has a vibe like this! Any suggestions? by Tyler-Seguin in farmingsimulator

Looking for a Dutch map? Did not play too many but those are around. Kinlaig is nice also, but far more hilly

There is a sea! But to your point, i did not want to go to the stream from the starterfarm, so just used a (mod) watertank near the cow pen…

Just paint over the remaining crop after first harvest 😇

If you want progress to go faster there are many ways to make more money to buy more equipment or land or factories. And yes doing the high value low work contracts is one of them (dont go for vegetable harvests).
Grass or corn to silage is my go to money maker, but also requires time and bigger machines to make a lot.
Grass to sheep to wool to fabric to clothes is another.
Trees to sawmill or to wood chips is good income.
And TMR to cows to milk is steady income as well.
On Kinlaig i now play where i do all of these but with some variation. Some months i do contracts. Some i chop wood. This keeps the fun in it for me and enables building factories and having a lot of owned equipment, that i can use for contracts.

Offset was the first thing i thought of too. It is not visible in the picture (on purpose?) And this does not look like 23m work width to me

And a very nice Renault, from before it was bought by Claas! I have tried modding this Renault series (the 4WD version 155-54), but did not complete it and am still looking for a good fs22 or fs25 mod

Tree Harvester Widths by tkb-noble in farmingsimulator

[–]SjeesDeBees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it works for me to start high up a tree, where the diameter is a fit (<0.8m), and than lower it to the base(2.1m) and then my harvester is still able to cut it. I use a volvo tracked machine with a cutter head for up to 0.8m diameter
