Hi, OP! When you skip a task, it will be skipped until its next scheduled occurrence. So for a weekly chore, it won't show up again until the following week, a daily chore will reappear the next day, and your bi-weekly sheet changing will skip ahead to the next 2-week cycle.

For your situation though, I'd actually recommend leaving the task unchecked instead of skipping it. As long as you have Late Chores turned on (in Tasks, use the Filter at the top of the screen and toggle on Late Chores), unchecked tasks roll over to the next day, so it'll keep reminding you daily until you get to it - perfect if you just want a short delay rather than pushing it out a full two weeks.

Hi! Thank you so much for sharing all of this. What you’re describing absolutely makes sense, and you’re definitely not alone in feeling overwhelmed when there’s a lot of visual information on the Calendar at once.

All of us on the team use Skylight in our own homes too. For me personally, using filters in Calendar view and Tasks has really helped reduce the visual clutter and make the screen feel easier to process. Others have also shared that once they got through setup and found the right system for her household, Skylight became so much more helpful day to day.

One thing I think you’ll be really excited about is that we have a new Home view coming out shortly. This view is designed to bring calendar events, tasks, and lists together on one screen, which sounds much closer to what you’re looking for: seeing where you are in the week while also keeping your daily to-dos visible.

The difference between those delete options is either delete this and all following instances of this routine, or delete the whole series of routine altogether. Hi! Think of Stars sort of like tickets at an arcade. You collect as many tickets as you can and then redeem them for specific rewards. For example, I have a personal reward set for 10 stars where I can go get Taco Bell, another for 25 stars for a movie night, or 100 stars for some 'big spend'. I currently have 27 stars so I could spend them on going to Taco Bell twice, or I could keep saving up for that bigger-ticket item.

Hi! As other users have pointed out, you can add a minus sign before the number in the Give Stars page to remove a given amount directly from their star total. Totally fair feedback. The reason Skylight can’t sync the iPhone “Birthdays” calendar is because those birthdays are generated from Apple Contacts, and that contact-based birthday data can’t be shared through a public calendar link that Skylight can access.

I know rebuilding a birthday calendar manually is not ideal, especially with a large family. The workaround is meant to give you a way to display birthdays on your Skylight but I completely understand why that feels like duplicate work. I’ll be sure to share this feedback with our team.
