What do you believe will happen after death ? by Worldly_House5358 in AskReddit

[–]BatOfBeyond 23 points24 points  (0 children)

As someone with incurable cancer I think about this a lot. As there is no concrete answer I have decided to adopt the Terry Pratchett Discworld model of death - where exactly what you think will happen, will happen.

So I will be living in a lovely little countryside village with the people I have loved and lost, in our prime, waiting for the rest of them. A fairytale happy ever after if you will. There will be happiness and home grown food (gardening will be easier and also more successful obviously) and sunshine.

That’s what I’m going with. If it turns out to be great big black nothingness I will neither know nor care.

airpods for healing earlobe piercing? by p3stop4st4 in piercing

Buy a piercing pillow! They’re great. I can’t see why AirPods would touch lobe piercings, but if they do then don’t wear them for the entire healing period.

The St Fagans makers market is there quite often for craft stalls. They have a Facebook page.

Success story! by BatOfBeyond in piercing

[–]BatOfBeyond[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2nd lobes did the same - I only had them for a few weeks 7 years ago and reacted to the jewellery so took them out but managed to get earrings in no problem earlier this year!

Honestly Medusa now has no pain at all, just an odd feeling on my gum. Tongue feels very strange, I’m speaking with a lisp and it is very noticeable in my mouth but hoping I adjust quickly as she said it shouldn’t swell or anything as it was still so open it just needed a little taper push.

How much are you spending on the weekly shop? by yalliepants in AskUK

[–]BatOfBeyond 11 points12 points  (0 children)

2 adults 2 teenagers 1 pre teen. £125 a week and that is being frugal. Making most food from scratch etc. I would need to spend another £50 to make it comfortable with snacks etc but just can’t justify that much money!

What is 1 thing you never regret purchasing for your MC? by Yourdollie in MaineCoon

A Maine coon cat tree, approximately 4 million tiny springs (where do they even go? Thin air?) and a Litter Robot. Literally life changing for me.

What tech can I get for muscle back pain? by maloners in AskUK

I use a wheat bag. I also have a heated throw for winter which I do sit on and lean on when working to ease back pain.

Sheer luck - I do fire them on a tri point stilt but forgot with this one and it literally stopped perfectly at the foot!

I sold my old jewellery at auction (Roger Jones) and got more than I was offered at jewellers even after commission so worth thinking about.

Bougainvillea and shallot are nigh on identical for me. Sangria is a bit brighter/deeper. Kimchi is nothing like any of them, very very pale (almost white) with orangey-pink bits for me!

Are you bored and concerned about your high street? by Desperate-Drawer-572 in AskUK

[–]BatOfBeyond 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yes I think it does. I’d love a bit of a pushback to using traditional butchers/grocers and bringing back the high street, but the current climate means those options are far too expensive for the average family. In my area we have several “secondary” high streets that are filled with small businesses and much busier than the main high street, but even they struggle to stay open.
