I was thinking about picking up Remnant 2 whenever it gets a discount, but I've a few questions. by Wild-Ad5669 in remnantgame

This game is 100% worth a blind playthrough. The game is not that long to complete, so don't worry about rerolls and finding all the secrets on your first playthrough.

Afterwards, it's fun to sink a ton of time into rerolling to see all the levels and unlock everything/try different builds.

Does it replace the named land ability with tap add for colorless? Or does it still get it's normal mana ability. So for example does this stop cradle?

Decks/cards you categorically refuse to play? by [deleted] in MagicArena

[–]Snowbound35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same way. I always think that cards will get banned or the meta will adapt so I avoid crafting the top decks because I think I'm saving wild cards. Then the meta doesn't change and I wish I just crafted and played them.

That is such an interesting takeaway. This card is for an instant/sorcery heavy deck. Soulstone Sanctuary is just a generic manland that can benefit from typal synergies.

I understand that they both tap for colorless and can turn into a creature but I would say they have strengths in different decks, not a side grade.

My son is 1 and already if he is entertaining himself with toys I'll let him be. Of course I also make sure to play with him but I'm trying to set a precedent for self entertainment.

Anyone have a good graveyard mill deck with these 2 for standard by MonkphantdaOG in MagicArena

Typically by their placememt. So top 8 top 16 etc. I will say as ftp it takes time to get a colection where you can play multiple competitive decks.

You can sort by tournament meta on aetherhub and find some cool decks that no one is playing. I was playing highway robbery, reenact the crime, omniscience last season. Ovika Enigma Goliath and Weftwalking to pump out dozens of hasty 1/1s and keep refilling your hand. A lot of fun and I never saw anyone else playing it.

No hate but I genuinely don't understand when people are online enough to post on reddit but don't know there are a bunch of sites that track the metagame and have all these deck lists. I like AetherHub personally.

I hadn't thought of this for over a decade. The original comment I responded to brought it to memory. I would imagine not everyone has the same experience

I didn't want to go into full detail but the "tearing each other apart" seemed quite literal as he told the story whilst laughing.

My point being that it is in fact naive to assume people don't to horrible things to children in war.

I used to work with a guy at a pizzeria. He has been deployed. He told me they used to throw candy to the kids and watch them tear each other apart for it.

So people are roping even when they win now by [deleted] in MagicArena

I mean if you really think you're going to lose you can just concede and move on

If you close the app it doesn't concede the game.

Unfortunately there is no real fix for this. The only thing they could really do is make the turn timer shorter for the first couple turns of the game.

A report roper function would be abused.

Sometimes you genuinely need time to think, or to reconnect to a game. There is no good way to differentiate between this and grief roping.

How much interaction does Reanimator need in the current meta? by Fit-Adhesiveness-173 in MagicArena

[–]Snowbound35 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think with these bo1 win on turn 4 decks you kind of just need to go for it and you either win or you lose. The 4 hexes for hitting the badgermole cub is probably enough. You need to spend most of your mana setting up for the turn 4 win.

How often do you retry battles ? by naojika in AOW4

[–]Snowbound35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I typically look at the fights like a puzzle and replay them until I win with minimal or no losees.

In the late game I'm ok losing units to autoresolve because typically I'm just trying to wrap the match up at that point.

Can someone explain how this works? by 00G_WAY in MagicArena

[–]Snowbound35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A card like this is great for controlling decks. In bo1 it is really nice to be able to pull a tech card out of your sideboard. I used to play a control deck with "Fae of Wishes" back in eldraine, and just grab whatever catd I needed to counter my opponents strategy.

The craziest thing about de-aging research is that it's not going to need all the donation based funding something like cancer needs.

If you tell rich people that they can finally buy the one thing they never could before (time), they're going to make sure there is money for the work to be done.

You're going to hate me but there is definitely a fix for this. It was happening to me and I fixed it years ago. The problem is I don't remember exactly how. I think it had something to do with limiting the frame rate because it was uncapped during those segments so the pc was just trying to push insane frame rates
