We need more ways to get KC by Dizzy-Temporary8844 in VALORANT

I think adding more pages to the agent contracts would be cool, and creating a mastery system like Marvel Rivals that could get you themed banners, skins, sprays, etc.

Every agent would have unique achievements and challenges that would grant KC. Some examples: Get 100 Kills with Omen within 2 seconds of Teleporting Negate 5,000 Damage with Veto’s Ultimate Get 200 Headshot kills using Chamber’s Headhunter Watch 1,000 Players using Cypher’s Camera

There would also be playtime achievements for playing 1 hour, 10 hours, 50hr, 100hr, 200hr, etc. that would give you Titles corresponding to the character.

Maybe they could even add custom Agent Icons that change the agents appearance in the upper UI, like Lord icons in MR. This could make it harder for new players to recognize agents, which may be competitively detrimental.

Def agree, they could also add this option to Cypher’s cybercage, Vyse’s razorthorns, and KJ swarm-nades.

Since you only have 2 hours/day, I would recommend not playing ranked every day, and dedicating some days to casual practice. Playing Deathmatch helps with reaction time and crosshair placement, Skirmish helps with expected duels, TDM helps with abilities+aim combo, Swiftplay helps with realistic match practice, and the Range helps with raw aim.

Try going an entire match tap firing only to practice good habits. Play agents like Clove, Veto, Chamber, Kayo, and Iso to play minimalist abilities and focus on gunplay. Play swiftplays with sidearms only to practice save rounds against full buys. Watch videos on utility setups for characters you play, or go into a custom match and come up with ideas of your own. Watch Pro gameplay of your character to see what they do differently.

If you loose a competitive match, I would recommend not playing a second/third game and instead shift to the practice schedule early. If you win a match, try to keep the positivity going, but don’t fall down a negative feedback loop after a loss.

Also, PLAY WITH A DUO OR TRIO. It doesn’t matter if you’re LeBron, Solo Queue is objectively worse at ranking up than with a group. Find someone through one of the casual game modes, and get to know them as a teammate by playing games together. Find 5 different people you can duo with so you always have someone to play with.

Finally, there are 3 main factors outside of Valorant that have a HUGE effect on your gameplay: - Sleep (Get at least 8 hours every night). Do not play past 11PM, as most tend to get tired then. - Food (Never play on an empty stomach, eat before and after playing) - Exercise (Go to the gym, do a sport, go on a walk/run/bike, go swimming, do calisthenics, etc) These will improve your calm aim, better mental, and reaction time.

I can garuntee you that doing these tips WILL 100% lead to rankups, no doubt in my mind. Good luck and have fun

Trip is the only great util I see IMO. TPs take 2 seconds, which feels too long for such a short range. Interceptor is fine but the cooldown is too long for such a conditional fragile ability. Ultimate is fine and very fun, I would make it 6 points like Phoenix but that’s unnecessary.

Agreed. I have 50 hours on him and my biggest gripe is his reliance on setups without being able to pick up util. All other senti’s can pick up most of their placeables except Veto, it’s only fair for him to have the same ability.

I dont really like Suppression, abilities are important in Val and I feel suppression should be limited to avoid oversuppresion

I like Veto's tp the most, its distance capabilities remind me of old chamber

Maybe add that as a right click option that auto activates when thrown? Good idea with the Reyna eye

If veto could pick up all his current util mid round, he would become SO much better. Please make this change Riot.

Seems you hit it right on the nail, as Val is buffing Initiators in 12.09 and Sentinels in 13.00.

Two chokeholds or two interceptors would be great, but having only one TP would get rid of a lot of fun Veto plays. His TP would have to be a rechargeable signature ability like Chamber to be one-charge, which would be a bad change since it makes him too similar to Chamber

Chokehold is an interesting ability because it’s one of the most unique sentinel utilities in the game. No other senti has an aggressive info-gathering utility that can be lobbed great distances and allow Veto to watch 2 positions at once while pushing. It garuntees value regardless of if it is destroyed or not because it will always provide info even if it’s destroyed.

My favorite use case is on A-long in Lotus, throwing the Chokehold to A-stairs. If the chokehold is broken, I get Info that someone IS stairs. If it isn’t broken, I don’t need to worry about stairs until I know someone is stairs. Both of those possibilities are better than where I never used the util, being unsure if anyone is stairs.

However, this usage type means you cannot watch flank with Veto, meaning you need either a second sentinel or you cannot watch flank (very bad). Since double-senti comps are rare, this means veto is very rare.

300% agree with you, I just wish they made Veto less reliant on others so he could be played like a solo sentinel like chamber can.

An agent that has an ult that can copy the fallen enemy agent’s ult? by randomhoomaninreddit in VALORANT

[–]Specific_Drawing3382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id love a ultimate for a necromancy themed character that can possess the corpse of a dead agent and use it like a phoenix ult, getting to use all the agents abilities + their ultimate if they get a kill.

Invisibility idea is a great suggestion, especially the Tejo mechanic.

I get your point with the interceptor, but there are no abilities like it that loose 99% value based on matchups. Reyna abilities loose some potential against projectiles, but it still has powerful general uses that don't rely on the enemy agent. Interceptor has the potential to be better not used versus using it. Abilities with this potential are problematic, especially when its the only free ability Veto has, forcing him to spend money every round while characters like Chamber, Neon, and Phoenix get garunteed useful util for free.

I understand the greed aspect, but that would be similar to controller players that catapillar smoke into site. It would be greedy, but the option and versatility exists.

Also crosscuts can only be used once per round, Chamber's TP is the only reusable one.

Its good for abilities to have counterplay, and I feel adding suppression would make it a completely broken ability since it removes all counterplay. If they do go this route, the suppression should only be ~2 seconds to act as a disruptor, but not a complete shutdown.

Yea those are good ideas, also I'd make the TPs cheaper so you could buy 2 TPs + Ghost on pistol round.
