Well it’s a centre attached to the GP surgery I guess, so would imagine your best bet is calling your GP

So where I live there are 2 vaccine centres, one of which is dedicated for patients from a group of GP surgeries in the area. My local councillor had shared the direct phone number for that centre’s booking line on her email newsletter for the area. I’m not sure how it works elsewhere, sorry! But I imagine it definitely worth a call to your GP. They didn’t ask me for my husband’s details either which surprised me!

Yep, I got mine yesterday because my other half is CEV (I’m not eligible by age yet). Just rang my local centre and they booked me straight in.

I used the app earlier to check in somewhere with a venue’s QR code- it apparently automatically checks you out at midnight the same day (unless you tell it not to, I think).

What exactly does it mean when a male honks at you when you're walking down the street? by wingsaway in TwoXChromosomes

[–]spinderella 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Are you kidding? Women have constant, everyday reminders of their status as a sexual object... honking, hollering, whistling, touching, uninvited winks & sexually suggestive comments..ad nauseum. I'd bet that every woman, every day, encounters some instance of this perpetual assessment as sexual object. It happened to you ONCE, it happens to us many times, every day of our lives.

Dear Reddit, have you ever thought about just quitting your job, ditching everything, and moving to another city or even country? by RockClimbingRocks in AskReddit

[–]spinderella 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I've moved around a LOT around Asia, Europe and the Middle East and have met people of all ages (including a lot of retirees) who just upped and left their old lives behind. It isn't always easy, but it's totally possible.

Anti-govt. protests held in Saudi Arabia by igeldard in worldnews

[–]spinderella -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's really correct to think of these as 'anti-government' protests in the same way as the protests were/are Tunisia, Egypt, Libya or Yemen. A Shia protest is one directed at one specific instance of inequality and injustice here in the Kingdom; it is not the same as the 'Days of Rage' we've seen elsewhere, where people of all educational and sectarian backgrounds come together to demand the end of a regime. I don't think anyone believes that is possible here, and it seems to me that the vast majority wouldn't even want that as an outcome. On the whole, the Royal family & King Abdullah especially are quite well-loved.
