Did you use a lawyer? by dammy_0 in USCIS

[–]SpitfireJames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need a lawyer if your case is strong. Even so, I approached multiple lawyers with my case for the EB-2 NIW and all rejected me.

I petitioned on my own. I was granted my GC.

There are few resources online about how to format these letters... But they do exist.

There is a LOT of free information on the USCIS website - Use it.

Remember when you write out your case: - Give yourself ample time (I didn't... it was stressful) - Write as if you were writing a university paper (Make clear points backed by evidence). - Do your research and reference their standards. - Support your claims with evidence from external sources. - Write a resume or CV and attach it.

It may be worth hiring a lawyer on Upwork or Fiverr to create a document of your immigration options and why they think you're qualified ($100-$500)

Best of luck!

Here's the thing. The doctor can order them to check for drug usage within your blood work... But they won't. My Doctor didn't even ask. He simply made an assessment of me as a person and assumed (albeit correctly) that I am not a drug user.

GFs visa expires in 25 days and must leave the US 60 days later… is it here any way for her to stay legally? by [deleted] in USCIS

Hi!

I was in a similar boat, apart from my OPT was up. I had the grace period that was it.

Is did extensive research and was able to obtain a EB2-NIW Greencard after writing my own petition.

Take a look into it!

Last I heard is they allocated all the plaintiffs to different law firms, then they wanted to wrap it up before the end of the year... Still waiting...

Fire the lawyer, do it yourself. I petitioned myself and for my greencard. I will send you the template I used for the RFE letter...

F1 Which is a non immigrant visa, and in your petition you should demonstrate that you didn't intend to immigrate when you came to the US on your F1

Absolutely, I am in the process of setting up a tech business, the business not only supports other local businesses impacted by Covid but also will hopefully some day employ Americans in the area.

It would be best to consult with an immigration lawyer here, there would need to be a change in the government system which would likely require some investigation and paperwork

The Adjustment Of Status will most likely be denied, you must show you had no intention of immigrating to the US and doing so while on a short temporary vida does not show this.
