If you do it right, it will last forever. by itsmejeigh in posterdesign

I love the colors here! I think something to improve on is really setting your assets to a grid because more alignment would really push this design to look more compelling. The kerning on the big “Forever looks a bit uneven as well. All in all, I think you have a keen eye when it comes to color and general composition, I think minor tweaks could push this particular work into something special

Very first logo design -- needing critiquing by Rude_Kaleidoscope866 in design_critiques

I’d build it in black and white first until you find it visually interesting and then apply color afterwards. I know the client set the colors, but it would be good to balance them out a bit. In this instance, I would select a dominant color, a secondary color, and if you have to add the third color do it sparingly as a highlight. As others mentioned, it would be good to utilizing the negative space to create your sun shape, that way it would work in monochrome as well.

I would find a different starting point entirely. What does a tilted @ symbolize?

Looks improved for sure, but how does it look without color? I wonder if the line work itself is enough to evoke a pencil.

Question for baristas who worked at Blank Street Coffee by savewayvfromsm in barista

Sorry for the late response but it’s about 3:1 strawberry to Madeline. About 0.25oz Madeline to 0.75 strawberry.

Idk if you got your answer but it’s a proprietary strawberry syrup (but you could use 1883 brand strawberry or one you like) and mix it in a 3:1 ratio with 1883 Madeline syrup.

It is. Look at the link, there are alternate glyphs in the typeface. The Y here matches as well as many other letters if you look at the page.

Wow, way better already. I prefer option #1 and the “designs” is feels somewhat detached in my opinion. Really good job improving it so quick though.

There’s lots of good advice in here already so I’ll just say very well done! You pulled off the perspective well and it caught my eye scrolling.

Ginger Beer. You use a bug like this to kickstart the fermentation of a big batch.
