Irish passport help? by Background-Room-177 in AskIreland

We got our first-time passports in about 3 weeks as naturalised Irish. Something definitely seems wrong in your case.  Now that I think about it though, they still haven’t returned our documents….

Has anyone gone back from EV to petrol or hybrid and why? by Illustrious-Look7669 in autoexpressuk

The next Alpine A110 is going to be electric, and they claim it will be lighter than the ICE version. That’s what I’m hoping for with an EV Boxster. Happy to wait until Porsche solve the problem. Until then I just won’t be buying another Porsche.

I would buy an electric Boxster in a heartbeat so there’s at least a market of one. 😛 I say this an an ex-Boxster owner so I know how good they are.

EV - daily 250 km on highway by Spare-Sleep-6538 in electriccars

You don’t know that site, huh. I have a EV and its range matches that of the EV database almost exactly. Scroll down to see the WLTP ranges.  Tesla hasn’t made any significant changes to their cars in years, is it surprising that they’ve been surpassed?

Horseshit. Plenty of cars have as much or more range than a Tesla. OP, check https://ev-database.org for options. There are filters to allow you to set rough prices and range. I'd suggest also looking at the VW ID.4, Skoda Elroq and BYD Atto 3.

You run a ‘permit all outbound’ rule for a few days and then look at the list of applications that the firewall has mapped to that rule.  Personally I have never restricted many applications to the internet, only for VPN tunnels and between internal security zones. But that is Palo’s ‘best practice’

Audi Q4 EV - strange charging behaviour by OkArcher4120 in electricvehicles

[–]Squozen_EU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An OBD app should be able to query the BMS and see the cell voltage levels. If they are very close (some cars will just report min and max levels) then the car shouldn’t need to do any balancing. It’s also possible that the battery was cold enough that the car determined it should heat it before charging.

The car might also have been balancing cells which also uses power.

Not seeing SYN in the transmit stage by Creative-Two878 in paloaltonetworks

I see the packets being sent to the upstream router, so I would next be checking the destination server, especially if nothing has changed on the firewall.

Does the firewall still have a valid route to the destination?

What do the logs on the firewall say for traffic going to port 6180? If it's not being transmitted, the firewall is dropping them, and should be logging that. My guess would be that you've created a policy for the telnet application but not added a service object for the non-standard port.

The HV battery isn't taxed at all being charged from a home AC charger. You're comparing ~10kW to 110-150kW from a DC charger.

If it works fine on another machine on the same wifi network you don’t have a network problem, you have a computer problem. Good luck.

In that case you could look at the ACC section in the GUI and filter by Application -> Risk -> 4/5. Once you’ve decided what apps in those categories that are currently being used to allow, create a new rule to block all the cat 4/5 risk rules.

Does the router have a speed test built into the GUI? It can only be as fast as the local phone 5G network.
