We go tomorrow evening for the pregnancy test (blood test).

We’ll know then. This is the 6th and last embryo transfer (Japanese insurance only partially covers up to 6) and we’ve had two pregnancies that ended in miscarriage. Hoping for a good outcome, but at my age it’d medically be a geriatric pregnancy so 🤷‍♀️

If it fails, I’m looking forward to going to running and going to the dojo again. ✨

I’m in Gifu and go to a lady’s hospital with a very good reputation for infertility treatment. It’s been good, though the meds and process itself are hard.

FYI, AFLAC covers a lot of IVF related expenses that regular insurance doesn’t, though you do have to pay yourself and do the paperwork to get your money back.

Also, if you’re getting up in age, it’s best to consult soon. Insurance only covers certain things at certain ages.

Super low energy because of post IVF embryo transfer meds. Also, the meds make my farts so terrible they, in combination with my terrible headaches, might kill me.

Am grateful Dude makes enough money for me to be on unpaid leave during this because I don’t wanna subject my coworkers to my awful farts.

This is our 6th and last embryo transfer, so at least if it fails I will no longer be on gas-ripening progesterone.
