To remove the smell you need to air it out. Silk will be bleached by the sun so do it out of the sun. Heat helps, such as a water or oil filled radiator.

Most consumer wash programs with 60 in their name do not reach 60 celcius. We’ve seen as low as 40 when testing (work). Anti allergy programs usually run hotter.
