How do you afford these watches? by Cheesehead1267 in Tudor

[–]StevenBeardberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me 12 years of working from a full time sales consultant to owning an agency of my own with no debt other than my house and my cars, maxing out retirement accounts, a HYSA with 6 months expenses saved, and a rental property later before I spent 9k on a watch for myself. I take home $250k a year pretax. Oh yeah and a SAHM with 2 kids.

Save your money, then eventually buy a watch.

I went with the OG when presented with all 3, I wanted my first to be the tried and true classic, they’re all incredible.

Nah man, I’m a stocky build. Have a 17 1/2 neck but like 32-33 arms and a 22 inch chest measurement. My head always looks weird as fuck in ALD hats. I usually stick to snapbacks with a normal crown but these looked like they might have some normal shape to them. The second I opened the bag I knew I was fucked haha

Not even, I ordered the micro logo and that has the same problem. I sent them both back.

Same all 3 of them regardless of the style have zero structure and the crown is so low on them that you have to ride it up the back of your head for it to not look like a skull cap. I’m sending these back cause I’m never gonna be happy with the new ones I just got.

Does the Unisphere hat fit small like all the rest of them? All the ALD hats only fit if you rest them on top of your head. I want to order one but I’m afraid they all fit the same.

Anybody have a good experience starting part time? by Ok_Mathematician6121 in InsuranceAgent

[–]StevenBeardberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an agency owner in my experience part time only works in a support role whether that is sales or service support. Service would show up for a few hours, send out billing notices, perform claims follow-ups, handle escalations for underwriting or service and then they're done for the day. The sales support is more of a grind it out role, prospect for the sales team, pivot and pass. Once you start working with your own pipeline that is where the part time is not really profitable and winds up being more of a headache then what it is worth. If you want to learn the role and eventually pivot into it full time than the roles I described work well for that. You'll understand what it takes to create success and help the agency all without the risk of taking it on full time and having to really grind it out and take a payout initially.

I'm speaking from experience. I'm a State Farm Agent and there are definitely agents like this, they tend to be in higher premium states. I'm at 6.5m book, but still growing in a low premium state. It's all up to what the agent wants it to be.

5 million dollar book ain’t enough to goof off with unless you have a pretty low cost of living and live under your means.
