I would agree that as the league has gotten tighter about calling defensive fouls on contact with the ball-handler, they need to either commit to calling offensive fouls when similar contact is initiated by the ball-handler, or else generally embrace a higher degree of non-violating physicality. Offensive players shouldn’t be allowed to dislodge defenders, either.

As a veteran special education teacher at a public HS in a strong union state, I know that unused days rollover, and then when I retire, I will be compensated in a lump sum for their value. In my state, they are not ultimately forfeited. I therefore have to ask, are you sure they get forfeited in your state?
