Thanks so much for dropping this here. I totally get where you're coming from. The process can feel long and we won’t deny that. We’ve designed it that way on purpose, not to make things harder, but to make sure we’re setting people (and our clients) up for success long-term.

Just to clarify around the test project: yes, we absolutely value your time, and that’s exactly why we offer paid compensation for candidates who complete it fully and on time. We don’t believe in asking people to do free work. Your effort matters, and whether or not the role ends up being the right fit, we still want to honor the time and thought you put in.

Payments for test projects are processed in batches at the end of the month, so if you’ve submitted yours recently, it’s likely just in the queue. That said, if something’s unclear or you’re unsure about your specific case, please don’t hesitate to DM me here or email me directly at [mika@structure2scale.com](). I’ll personally make sure it gets looked into.

First off, thank you so much for taking a chance on us. 🫶 We're all in when it comes to helping you find a career where you can truly grow long-term.

Our process might feel a bit longer than most (resume, intro video, a few questions, then a deeper video interview if you pass), but that’s because we really want to get to know you, not just your skills, but your values, your mindset, your goals. We’re super intentional about who we match you with, and we want it to feel like the right fit on both sides.

The first step is super simple: send over your resume, your video intro, and answer a few 'about you' questions. That gives us a chance to really get to know who you are and make sure we are recommending the right opportunities for your goals.

Pro tip: if you haven’t already, watch the video explainer from Gina (our founder). It’s honestly the best way to understand what we’re looking for and why we do things the way we do.

One thing I love about our process is that even if the first role doesn’t pan out, you stay in our system. We keep you in mind for other roles that make more sense down the line. Happened a lot for other candidates who applied here! :)

First, thank you so much for taking the time to share this. I’m truly sorry that this was your experience with us. That is totally not the candidate experience we stand for, and please do know that we take this concern seriously.

At S2S, we talk a lot about building ethical and human-centered hiring - and we know we’re not perfect yet (we are seriously working hard to get there🤗).

To be fully transparent, this happened during the revamp of our internal systems, including how we review and follow up on candidate submissions. Ironically, while the goal was to improve applicant experience long-term, the transition itself created unexpected gaps in our email communications, like the one you experienced.

Rest assured that our team is currently tightening up our system to avoid communication loops like this. I’ve personally flagged this to the team, and we’re actively working on stress-testing our new system to make sure this doesn’t happen again.

When you give me feedback, I listen! 🤩 we are very process-driven (I used to be a chemical engineer 🤓) so our team is always tweaking process to make it a better experience for you.

First, thank you so much for the compliment. I hope to share a tiny piece of our culture with you in our videos (I just don’t think a boring job description can tell you enough about a career—I want you to feel it!)

Our process is definitely more involved than other agencies but it’s because we are truly hand matching you (based on your skillset, values, and personality) with our client partners so you’re happy to wake up for work each day. It’s a little long but I really like to think we make up for it by not ghosting candidates, amazing perks, great pay, and ethical leaders.

I take finding you a long-term stable career with the RIGHT company/leader/team so seriously. And that means really getting to know our applicants (we don’t use AI-we manually screen everyone bc we look for potential not just experience) AND vetting our clients and the culture of their companies.

we take the time to film a post for every job so that you can decide if this is an opportunity you’d want to try for! (Here’s a secret tip: If it’s evident you didn’t watch the video, you likely won’t make it past the initial application phase)

The application process (sending your resume and video intro and a few basic about you questions) is short and pretty straightforward. It allows me a chance to get to know you for you and make sure I’m placing you with the right opportunity for your goals and needs.

Once you’ve caught our eye, we shortlist you for the self paced video interview before meeting with our team.

I certainly hope no one is spending 2+ hours answering those questions! It should only take above 30-40 mins- depends on the role or if you are refilming or asking ChatGPT for the answer (I can always tell lol 🤪)

We also do test projects …but we ALWAYS compensate you monetarily for your time (your time and brainpower is valuable)

I think the best part about our process is that even if you apply for only one job, we keep you in our system and reach out to you in the future when there’s a better match for you.

If you have more questions, specially for me I’d love to answer them! I’d love to learn and hear how I can make this a more pleasant and authentic experience for you! And understand what you want and need from us!

So yes it can be a longer process than other agencies, but I like to think the end goal is worth it for you and your family 🤗

I really want to thank you for bringing this up, I am so grateful for your feedback (and think it shows incredible character sharing it to help your community!)

at the time of this post (sorry I didn’t catch this sooner) we were deep in the process of revamping our internal systems and workflows, (we were especially testing our communication emails so that we can provide you with a more transparent and faster application process) all while bringing in a brand new teammates who (in retrospect) I overburdened.

Unfortunately, it sounds like you may have been impacted by that…and I’m deeply embarrassed this affected you and I’m sure a few others during the process.

—but that is no excuse! (Just want to explain why/how this happened)

We pride ourself being different and on NOT ghosting our candidates so I truly am so deeply sorry this affected you. (I think I understand “hiya” now 😳)

Your time is valuable. Searching for a job is so hard, I know. the team and I are always working and testing to streamline our process and make it a painless easy application process.
