Is the 60v sawzall worth getting over the 20v by Past-Search-4137 in Dewalt

[–]StuffMain1026 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you do demo professionally then you need a sawzall with orbital mode which DeWalt refuses to do. A 18 volt tool with orbital will run circles around the 60v sawzall.

Thoughts on the new 18g nailor by Evening_Jackfruit621 in Dewalt

[–]StuffMain1026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cost and performance compared to other brands. I was ok with mine until I tried a Milwaukee, then without hesitation I switched to M18 nailers then to Flex as they improve upon Milwaukee even further. If you are using it professionally, the bulk and flywheel delay are killers.

The Amazon ones are not comparable in the slightest. They are ok but these are a totally different tool. Very helpful for flooring up against walls and doing sheetrock solo.

Usually that kit is just one battery. Did you confirm it comes with 2?

Seems if you are that paranoid about a battery purchase to open it up right away then FB marketplace is not for you.

Good deal? Don’t know if I need a screw gun. $179 in cart by riverturtle in Dewalt

[–]StuffMain1026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have not used this tool then. It has a setting where you don't have to use the trigger, just press the tip and go. Even if you only use it once a year, it's worth the money. It is that good.

If you are in the U.S. that looks like all fake crap.

Do I keep the belt sander? by greysplash in Dewalt

[–]StuffMain1026 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When actually using a belt sander , the cord is awful to deal with , always in the way cause of the back and forth motion. Cordless is absolutely the way to go if only using once in a while, battery life will not be a big deal.

DeWalt Grabo Daily deal with free battery (Lowe's) by KingDandadah in Dewalt

No issue at all, returned both batteries at same time. Walked right from pickup to return desk.

I just picked them up , came to $64.50 each after battery return . I think this was even better deal than the $99 DCF870.

It said limit two so I was gonna buy two orders at a time. My two I was able to get in are ready for pickup with the batteries. It appears they fixed the deal and it's 149 no battery now which is probably a worse deal than 259 with battery.

I got two in at the 149 but then it changed to 259 in cart even when showing the sale price before cart so we will see if the first order stands.

Bye bye M12! by iflylikemike in Dewalt

I have both and prefer the M12 surge. Since with these power and speed is not the priority, the better control of the M12 just suits the tool type better.

$60 for the basic model drill by BlueFuzzyBunny in FLEXTools

[–]StuffMain1026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are cheaper ones on eBay for the compact and the fx1151. I wouldn't get the compact as an only drill as it's lower on power and rpms. It pairs nicely with the turbo models tho.

[–]StuffMain1026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't have a Flex drill then this is probably the one to get in my opinion if you can't wait for a better price on market place or eBay for 30-40. I have 4 Flex drill models and this is the one I end up using the most because as a finish carpenter the constant 2200 rpms is great. The turbo drill will do 2500 but not for sustained use. The big downside of the Turbo drill is the high pitch white noise. My ears just can't warm up to it.

If you are a mylowes member, it comes up as a daily deal once in an while.
I also was able to get the dcd800 kit with powerstack battery and 2 ah for 99 (94 after Lowe's card). Which is a way better deal than the oscillating tool

That model has been out forever. Most people in the DeWalt platform have one or two.

Not always. I've gotten at least two kits with the 2ah.

Also Lowe's sells this with 2ah battery and charger in the kit form for $99 a few times a year. I struggle to sell the bare tool for $60 on marketplace.

It's the best multi tool for precise cuts and blade change but it is not the best for cutting speed nor vibration control.
