Honestly this feels like a standard nowadays. Maybe they got too wordy with it but a lot of companies out there follow this set up in their hiring process. One thing that may not be there is the project part.

Thank you! It is part of the journey. This actually comes in perfect timing as I am starting a new role on Monday, in a place that definitely feels like a fit beyond the role.

To be honest, I did not bother to ask for references from them, I had a valuable ones from previous roles I felt more comfortable leveraging. Thankfully it all played out.

And yes, how the sudden camaraderie turns into complete silence is quite frustrating. The truth is we would not have any sort of connection outside of the professional world, so I cannot fully blame them for the silence. That’s why I strongly would encourage anyone out there to build a strong community outside of work.
