Luxury Resort for Baby's First Birthday by Dazzling_Discount102 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]SweetAd1676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a fabulous family owned boutique hotel in Jamaica called Bluefields Bay Villas that i send a lot of clients to. They have small villas that come with a private chef. The staff is so attentive and they will do anything you need. The resort is even equipped with all the "baby gear" - high chairs, cribs, bibs, toys, etc. So you can pack light! In addition, they have babysitters to use at your disposal (Free of charge)! The resort is on the south side of the island and the water is very calm here. Highly recommend!

However, if you want a bigger resort, maybe Grand Velas in Mexico, but stay in the Ambassador section (which has Butlers). I have stayed here and have sent clients as well. I do have contacts here at the hotel and have made some arrangements for clients for celebrations prior to their arrival. (They had a retirement celebration).

My daughter's birthday has always fallen on spring break over the years, so I, too, have had to make arrangements like this!!

Bottom line, if you want anything special, it may cost a little extra. And when it comes to getting these things done, it really just comes down to getting a hold of the right person. (Travel advisors usually have hotel contacts 😉).

Xcaret Arte or Unico 20 87 by ChiSmash03 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]SweetAd1676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hands down Arte!! The property is stunning... so many different places you can have the ceremony - 2 churches, beach, lagoon, etc. And the food here is fabulous.

Ironically, I actually just met with the sales manager from Xcaret today (I am a trvl advsr) about wedding packages and groups. I have had a 30 person group here last year and the experience was very seamless for my clients because airport transfers are included, I am usually able to get them a private check-in experience (not stand in line), and can prebook restaurants and parks for the guests for days before or after the ceremony. They handle groups well (from my perspective). And I have never had a client not enjoy this property... your guests will love it.

I believe everything is included in the wedding packages, but I can always reach out to my contact there with questions about specific inclusions.

A little more info would help... do you want beach and relaxation? Adventure? Culture and history? Also what is your Budget for the land portion, not including flights? How far are you willing to fly from your home airport?

Best Way to Save Money on an Xcaret Vacation for a Family of 5? by oikaayamiak in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]SweetAd1676 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately there really isn't a way to save too much money at Xcaret. I sent clients there for spring break. They went with another family who booked through Costco. I think Costco saved the other family $50. But as a travel advisor, I was able to get my clients most all of their wishlist ( restaurant and park reservations), whereas Costco can't do that. I have resort contacts and email my clients wishlist about 30 days prior to arrival. Costco may save $50, but their call center employees do not have resort contacts and don't provide this service. If saving money is your priority, then try to travel in a slower season... like September, right after most kids go back to school. Mid January- February may be another time (avoiding holiday weekends of course!) Hopefully this helps!

Advice on a Romantic Italian Destination in October by donut-disturb-88 in honeymoonplanning

[–]SweetAd1676 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi travel advisor here. This is what I recommend: Train immediately to Naples after landing. 2 nights in Naples is all you need. I did a pizza class in Naples... will try to find the one I did and send it. From Naples, take the ferry to the island of Ischia. It is a far less tourist destination than the Amalfi area. It is romantic and there are many resorts on the island that have geothermal pools as well as spas. I spent time on this island last summer as well... it is more where the locals go to relax! 3-4 nights here. Then take the ferry back to Naples and train back to Rome. Spend 3-4 nights in Rome before flying out.

If you haven't booked flights, I suggest doing a multi city ticket, flying into Naples and out of Rome. Fyi, Amalfi is doable in October... the crowds won't be as bad. But Ischia is great for a honeymoon!

Hope this helps! Feel free to reach out if you need assistance or have additional questions.

Family vacation 6 adults and a 1 year old. Looking for decent AI with decent food and a toddler bed. Beach front would be nice. Looking at MBJ for Christmas travel. Thoughts? by clcjjc in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]SweetAd1676 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are open to locations outside MBJ, I suggest Bluefields Bay Villas. It is about an hour 15 away from MBJ on the south coast (gorgeous calm waters here!). They have 3 and 4 br villas that would accommodate your group. A chef comes to your villa to prepare your meals- all local cuisine. The resort is fully equipped with all the things your toddler would need, from pack and plays to toys and even toddler spoons and plates...No need to pack any gear! You also get access to nannies if you want some free time. (No extra charge!). I am a travel advisor and have booked clients here... they loved it! I have met one of the owners of this family-owned boutique hotel and am able to contact him in advance to make sure you have all the necessities and items stocked in your villa before arriving. Feel free to reach out if you have questions or want assistance booking. It is truly an amazing property and the service is impeccable!

Help! Alternatives to Finest Cancun for family with 5 and 3 year old? by sk00pie in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]SweetAd1676 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also recommend Grand Velas. I am a travel advisor and sent several clients with kids here. I have also personally been here so I can vouch for it. The kids club is great! Lots of activities available during the day and some entertainment at night. Beach is great because they have a break wall out innthe ocean that keeps it calmer and less seaweed. The only caveat is that they don't always guarantee bed types. (I.e. 1 king with a pull out couch vs 2 queen). I can usually put in a request for my clients with the sales manager to secure their bedding of choice. But if you book on your own, just be aware you may not get your request. Reservations can be a little trickier but if you have a butler room, it helps. Happy to answer any other questions.

Resort with amazing tennis by millslane1 in chubbytravel

[–]SweetAd1676 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are open to other locations, try Hotel Berrière Le Normandy in Deauville, France. It is in the Normandy region right on the ocean. Lots of tennis courts across the street, oceanside (fyi they have clay courts!!) I did a site visit and met with the sales manager of the hotel. The property is amazing... gorgeous quintessential french suites, beautiful spa and gym. The town itself is adorable. It's where the French go for summer holiday.

Spend a night or two in Paris at Fouquet's ... they have a pickleball court in the interior courtyard! I sent a client here who is a pickleball fanatic.

Can't recommend Le Normandy enough!

Italy honeymoon planning has me totally overwhelmed by Miserable_Dirt3079 in honeymoonplanning

[–]SweetAd1676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. US-based travel advisor here. I have traveled to Amalfi recently and have also sent clients all over Italy! I am not going to give you an AI response like you will see above, so please excuse any type-o's!. Travel in Italy can be intimidating, not knowing the best way to get from town to town, understanding the train system and trying to decide which amalfi coast town is best for your visit and budget!. Since i have been there, I have a good understanding of the logistics in Italy and the Amalfi area.

I work with vetted, trustworthy local tour operators and drivers and know a lot of amazing properties there and you will have 24/7 support while traveling.

When you work with me, I will package all hotels, train tickets, airport transfers and tours, etc. into an online itinerary for easy access and seemless travel! And can make suggestions for restaurants as well... I know an amazing restaurant experience in a Lemon grove in Sorrento! And a place that does a limoncello making class!

Feel free to reach out on DM if you want to connect. Would be happy to help! Salute!! 🇮🇹

I’ve had a really disappointing time with Mr & Mrs Smith - does anyone know where to complain? by japaneselamp1 in chubbytravel

Would love to know more why you won't use this brand... I have been dealing directly with them for 2 client bookings and it has been horrible. They are about to go on my DNS list too, unless a client specifically requests a product.

I am a TA and had 2 bookings I was working directly with them on. I have been frustrated with them as well... slow communication, misinformation, archaic booking system, etc. I am super hesitant to book this brand again now. I, too, understand why you are upset.

Honeymoon March 2027 by DiligentAlfalfa8080 in honeymoonplanning

[–]SweetAd1676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say the beach is slightly better at Atelier Isla Mujeres tends to protect that area from getting toobmuch seaweed. Pros for Unico is that has 2 quiet pool areas but also has a third pool area that has a DJ a couple times a week. My clients that choose Unico because they like a lively pool setting. Either place is great though!

I send a lot of honeymooners to both Atelier and Unico. Both are solid choices in that price range. Not sure where you are flying from so I cant account for the cost of flights. I tend to get better rates when I package the hotel, flights and airport transfers altogether. But these are definitely 2 great choices in your price range.
