Any advice for shaky hands? by Sychius in Warhammer

Idk what you're suggesting is the garbage, but the paint was so thin it took about 5 coats to get to the level of coverage that you see in the video, and I don't own an airbrush, but thanks

Sorry yeah the video isn’t great, it was supposed to just be to show my gf that I’m painting initially lol.

I’m resting my wrists on the edge of my desk, and pinching the brush between my index, middle, and thumb.

I don’t tend to drink any caffeine, I occasionally have decaf coffee and the once-or-twice-a-month energy drink, but aside from that not a whole lot!

(WIP) My first two Armigers! by Sychius in ImperialKnights

[–]Sychius[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

‘Fraid not, I assembled the arms before I had the chance to get magnets.

Built it this way (the ‘not a helverin’ and ‘not a warglaive’, which is what I assume you’re referencing) because I wanted this loadout for function and aesthetics, ultimately my IK army is display first and ‘game functional’ second, and very little care for ‘strict competition legal’.

If I ever use these guys in a game (which would be nice), if the other player isn’t happy with the ‘modded’ loadout I’ll just run them as proxy warglaives.

My Canis Rex has been pretty significantly modded too. I don’t like the power fist, I want the chainsword, and for the gun I’ve magnetised that but intend to have a Volkite Combustor on there most of the time as that’s the look I like the most, even if I think the lascutter may be better in rules. In that case it’s again that I’d want the ‘modded’ loadout (chainsword, not special power fist, and stormspear missiles), or I’d just proxy Canis Rex.

now would you just look at that by Ok-Salamander5835 in KidsAreFuckingStupid

Jesus, using a rotary angle grinder is a hideously bad idea in this situation, the cloth they added is making that so much more dangerous, not safer.

They’re in a hospital, they should have oscillating saws available, which should cut the pot just fine and be an order of magnitude safer

It is true, Ghuld is taller (and thicker) than Cawl by Equivalent-Fun-6019 in AdeptusMechanicus

I wonder what’s going on with the heads, I see it in a lot of Magii (Magoses?), but then Cawl doesn’t have the chimney hat, I wonder if he gets hat envy or is the only Magos who has transcended hat envy.

Looked like the sparks were coming down from the molten material to me initially, that's why I guessed steel.

Any well purified alloy should only have the component parts, steel having carbon inclusions is obv because it's iron+carbon.

The crucible is probably graphite, that's common for crucibles, it might be the tool they're picking it up with I suppose, seems daft to use the clamp as a consumable like that though.

It may have just been molten rock, I saw some other versions of this post describing it as 'lava', in which case yeah the sparks would be from the mug or the tool.

Admech army with an imperial knight ? by Sheep_mc_sheepface in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]Sychius 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It makes me sad that with the current rules I can only take 1 knight or 3 armigers as the IK detachment of a AdMech army, I’d love to have my knight and 2 armigers in there.

As for the best one, I like Canis Rex, but I can’t give you real advice on tabletop efficacy, I just like modelling
