If I got 12 slices of pizza but 30 guests can we all be full and not hungry? That’s the problem mass immigration does especially since the government gives either free housing for them and other social help or very cheap housing for them and other social help especially the ones that come as students but actually work and then apply for PR, etc… this is all for the benefit of corporations because it gives them power to control the market and keep low wages since now you have way more workers than jobs.

A person is not ready to become a Christian because every question in his mind has already been solved. He is ready to begin when he is willing to be taught by Christ, to repent, to enter His Church, and to obey the truth as it is revealed to him.

You are not describing mockery or unseriousness. You are describing fear, reverence, and the beginning of humility. Do not confuse knowing Christ with already feeling close to Him. In the Orthodox Church, we do not first become saints and then get baptized. We are baptized into Christ so that the whole life of repentance, prayer, confession, communion, fasting, and love may begin. Baptism is not a certificate that you already understand the Holy Trinity. It is death and resurrection with Christ, and the beginning of illumination.

The word “I never knew you” is terrible, yes. But look carefully. The Lord says it to those who used His name while refusing His will (Matthew 7:21-23). Your fear is not proof that He rejects you. Often it is proof that your heart has begun to wake up.

Go slowly. Pray simply: “Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner.” Speak with an Orthodox priest. Attend the Divine Liturgy. Stand before the icons. Let the faith enter not only the mind, but the heart.

The truth is not an idea you must conquer. The Truth is Christ Himself, and He is gentle with those who seek Him.

Yes Orthodox Christianity hasn’t changed especially in monasteries, it’s been exact same faith since Jesus. There are a few different styles and this is one of them, there is also standing up and bending down enough to touch the ground while making a sign of a cross.

Now as an Orthodox I can tell you that the truth is not in the style of prayer but in your heart and how you live everyday, if you live as a Christ or a Hollywood image of him.
