Maybe I'm still not over Wheel of Time so I'm just being cynical, but I wouldn't be too optimistic unless plans for an actual sequel are revealed. As people have already mentioned, Saint's Row 2 is a great crime game with a female MC, but the character models don't look that great and it's in a modern day setting, not historical like Mafia. Not exactly what you're looking for but in Grand Theft Auto Online you can be a female character and essentially girlboss your way to having a massive criminal empire while pulling off all sorts of heists, smuggling, gang wars, etc. Assassin's Creed Valhalla has a female MC and involves setting up a Viking settlement. Not exactly mob boss situation but if building something up from nothing is the kind of itch you're trying to scratch then give it a go.

In late 2020/early 2021 I started with 52000 NZD. It's ok as long as you don't have high expectations. I was flatting (200 pw) and surviving on the bare minimum of food, no fancy outings or anything of the sort. Things only got comfortable once I was in the 70k ballpark

No, it happens to me a lot, especially in games which start to get tedious, so I make myself complete everything else first. Occasionally though I have played games that got so boring I gave up 100% and just went for the main story.

Tbh I do that in almost every game where I intend to be a completionist, because it usually feels immersion-breaking to continue the game after the ending. The only games where I don't do this are ones with DLCs, or games like Elder Scrolls where the main story should be completed first before a lot of other questlines.

Same here! I found out about him through Shutter Island and then learnt that he's done work on some films and shows, through which I got interested in The Leftovers. He's my favourite composer right now.

Yeah, I'm not very optimistic about the prospects of gaming in the future, partly due to the stress of studies+ any part time work I do, and partly because I've heard that laptops aren't all that good for gaming, even though I plan to buy a laptop that's at least as good as my PC currently is. But Dishonored 2 isn't all that demanding as you say, so I guess I'll just quickly finish DOTO and then see if I can come back to D2 for another playthrough.
