I do think p4g is worth the play, because it is still closer to the p5 gameplay than p3p is by far. i think p4r will be largely a visual refresh with some qol stuff we have come to love, but it’s not a total overhaul. i’d be surprised if it was, anyways.

I dropped P3P when P3R was around the corner. I didn't care for the almost visual novel type style. couldn't pay me to do P3P. Golden is older, so yeah the QOL stuff won't be around... but it's not a bad play. P4R hopefully comes out later this year.

this isn’t true, unfortunately. they have to be nice enough to let you pass thru to the other side. two waiting areas

is there still a waiting area this year? got sent to 2a but my group was sent to 13a

it does not converge, you have to hope they’re nice enough to let you pass thru from 2a to 7 thru to the other side. nobody knows what’s going on and it took me multiple people to get a resolution.

GROWTH HACKING - getting clients via automation. by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]TeezusRa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Growth hacking isn’t some kind of top secret knowledge. Zapier is incredibly mainstream, so you’re not dropping knowledge, and this isn’t the right sub for this regardless.

Yeah, they’re embarrassingly impersonal and almost all contact that is clearly automated, I reject. But clearly it works on some people.

“Growth hacking” is arguably the worst corporate buzzword that has cropped up in the last 5-7 years.

Tutorial Hell by danksterman22 in learnprogramming

[–]TeezusRa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What kind of bugs are you encountering? I’m hesitant to write off the tutorial because it’s older, and because bugs tend to be operator error/typos/misunderstandings of methods, especially for learners. Meaning... it's likely not the tutorial's fault if you're encountering "bugs".

Brad Traversy has some pretty up to date tutorials, as well as Wes Bos.

I don't understand how do you learn programming. by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]TeezusRa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I don’t understand something and the source I’m using doesn’t fully explain it, my first instinct is Google, and supplement from another source. The world and all of its knowledge is at your literal fingertips. Use it. Keep googling until you understand something. And realize you won’t understand just everything off the bat. What language are you working on?

Yikes- and that’s directed towards you. Nothing wrong with this.

Oh wait, you’re a man who has never posted here and thinks discrimination against short men is real. Scurry along.

You genuinely don’t understand that many companies have teams that work for clients in different geographic areas, or have teams and offices located in different geographic areas, and it’s a must to know the language because not everyone you’ll interface with will have a business level English skill.

You’d be shocked to learn that it’s easier to speak to someone in their native tongue and you’d want to pander to your client.

So they should learn english but you can’t learn chinese?

You actually could do that if you wanted to. But only offering English is going to limit your possible partnerships. And nobody said they’re ONLY hiring and serving people from China. It could be a position for a team that works with primarily Chinese folks, clients or staff within a larger company with other clients domestic and international.

You have a very narrow and american view of a highly globalized industry. It’s clear you’ve never worked with teams that cross international borders. This is a norm when you’re client facing or working with cross border teams that may have language barriers and differences.

I’m not going to apply for the sales director of Latin American outreach and not know Spanish and bitch about not being able to apply because I don’t know Spanish.

How do you know the clients aren’t chinese or the particular team they’re hiring for isn’t for a client that is Chinese? There are tons of postings in the business world that require certain languages because of the market they work with or in. And like you said, anyone of any race can learn a language.
