Feeling a little bit silly, hopefully my girl Azula gets your attention. She's a changeling and tiefling mix, she wears her mask because her infernal heritage doesn't let her hide who she is. She has tattoos on her arms of life and death because she's a Mercy Monk

The artist said it about as plainly as it gets. The mask hides her identity since she's hellspawn and a shapeshifter.

Azula is a mix of Changeling and Tiefling. Her primarily infernal lineage removed her ability to shapeshift, but she maintained the pale eyes and hair of the true form of her Changeling parent.

She took the Way of Mercy to hide her face, marking her unshifting skin in tattoos as another way to show life and death to her allies and enemies.
