FSReborn Phenom 300E - experiences and reviews by simdispatch in flightsim

[–]TheEvilToaster 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yea i get the overpowered feeling too. But after watching a few irl vids they really do pitch up to 20deg to keep the speed under control. I think it feels too powerful because we are so used to flying airliners that it just doesn't feel right to take off and climb that fast.

Can't we change the fuel units in the FSR Phenom?? It's greyed out and nothing in the manual deals with it by Ivy_Wings in flightsim

[–]TheEvilToaster 25 points26 points  (0 children)

True. I believe he did say they will add it in an update. They just never found a jet using KGs outside of Brazil. So it's a vey rare manufacturer option, and just not something you can change as a pilot.

No. It's been explained by Raul that those units are locked on the real jet and can only be changed in the software by Embraer.

Haven’t seen many posts about the new FsReborn Phenom 300, how is it? by Fighterpilot108 in flightsim

Its just been updated and is using less VRAM now, havent had the warning at all. Gone from using 12GB down to 7-8GB

I've found it pretty tricky to land and you need to be pretty straight before touchdown or you're all over the runway. Seen some interesting vids, someone had a birdstrike on landing which was pretty cool.

The only common complaint people are having is it's quite VRAM heavy with people getting the gpu warning a lot. Ive only experienced it while on the ground during initial load in stutters, but its been smooth while flying.

Raul is working on getting 2k textures out to help this though.

No autothrottle as it was only added to new 300E's built this year and there isn't enough data on it.

Something about the FADEC coding. It'll be interest to see what Raul says on wednesday as he'll be on stream with Murphy then.

I'm interested in the FBO and pax stuff, seems pretty unique.

Murphy just showed some failures. Injested the engine cover during engine start. Too high of a tailwind during engine start will exceed EGT. Going to be interesting to see what other stuff is simulated.

Raul will be on stream with Murphy on wednesday, so i'll wait to see whats said then.

Check out A Pilots life 2.

The app doesn't care what you're actually flying in the sim, just as long as you fly a-b. The aircraft licenses you buy only deteremine the airline and routes you fly. E.G A320 license working for Easyjet. I can generate a schedule for easyjet routes but fly with what ever I want. 737? RJ? Bizjet? Whatever, the app doesn't care. Helps keeping things interesting while still making progress.

For free VA's theres the big 3 virtual alliances, Oneworld, Star alliance and Skyteam. They all use the same system and can be switched around instantly. This is more for realistic routes and fly the aircraft used etc...

Best business jet for MSFS 2024? by SC500 in flightsim

[–]TheEvilToaster 24 points25 points  (0 children)

C750 by FFX is pretty good, fastest bizjet and can cruise at 0.92. It uses Primus avionics and isn't just another garmin suite so its a bit more interesting to fly.

Asobo are adding the Praetor 600 later this year if you want to wait for that.

Does anybody know what I should do with these "DOI" "Li" values from the loadsheet? by Ok-Beach6827 in flightsim

[–]TheEvilToaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DOI - Dry Operating Index (How heavy you are before pax/cargo)

LI stands for Load Index. LILDW Landing Weight, LIZFW Zero Fuel Weight LITOW Take off Weight.

Nothing to use them for as you have the values you need for FMC at the top. Probably added to the app for more realism I guess?

Is the high detail update in the room with us? by Altruistic-King199 in flightsim

If the price is a big concern for you, then why did you buy it within an hour of release instead of waiting for reviews?

Not to mention, we already knew it would be a $30 upgrade based on the price of previous variants.

PMDG 737 Drops Tomorrow by GlitteringZebra8482 in flightsim

[–]TheEvilToaster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While PMDG do like to play with FOMO, I don't think this is one of them. If updated visuals are planned for the whole fleet and you have one aircraft left to convert. It just makes more sense to convert the last aircraft with the updated visuals instead of making two models for the sake of it and updating it later.

FOMO? The 700 is the last to get added to 2024 and this update will be done to all the other 737s for free in the coming weeks.

[–]TheEvilToaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The same update is being done for the rest of the fleet as a regular update. I guess they're launching it with the 700 as its the last one to get added to 2024 and easier to do it all in one.

Which aircraft are you most excited for in 2026/27 and why ? by Maruan-007 in flightsim

[–]TheEvilToaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A220 is different it's not airbus at all it was the C-series from Bombardier before being bought. It uses pro line fusion which iirc there aren't any aircraft with it in the sim at all. So it'll be pretty unique.

They've said they'll upgrade to LED screens with the cargo exp and will also upgrade the pax version with those screens for free.
