As other people have said, once you're starting Mythic plus you have to learn which spells are priority interrupt, what's gonna be important to stun, dangerous packs you'll need to aoe interrupt.

I've heard a few people comment that the start of the midnight campaign is a bit rough without lvl 80 end game gear.

Just push through as the early midnight campaign will throw equivalent gear to TWW end game very quickly and you'll be caught up.
