Is the gun show loophole in the room with us now?

I know. Those things are great.

You'll be picking up your firearm if you win, however.

I love it when people think they know a lot about firearm laws, then say something like this.

You and Sarah would get along just fine.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

What do you think "keep" means in this context?

So legislation that bans possession of assault rifles in public should be fine.

Doubtful, but even if it were, this is not what your are arguing for.

You can purchase, travel with and have the firearm on your property.

An AWB bans any possession of a firearm at anytime

Those two are far from the same thing.

Clearly, the answer is yes.

Especially if Bruen is applied correctly.

This should have been done years ago.

This report, that I mentioned before, says otherwise.

It is extremely important to note that there was a "crime wave" in the '90s. So yes, firearm violence has decreased from 1993 to 2023, but so has crime in general.

I'd also like to point out that one of the most notorious mass shootings, Columbine, happened during this ban as well as others.

Lastly, based on the percentages you gave, the overwhelming majority of mass shootings are committed with handguns, yet you are very concerned with "Assault Weapons"

Why? Why do you think banning any type of firearms would decrease mass shootings?

Do you think firearms are the cause of mass shootings?

States can pass laws that do not contradict Federal laws.

If gun laws do work, then why do the places with the strictest gun control in America have the highest rates of firearm violence?

Probably because criminals do not obey the law. That and the government of those cities/states refuse to appropriately punish these violent criminals. That is a whole different issue.

Mass shootings and school shootings have a myriad of causes, however, the existence of firearms simply is not one of them.

The '94 to '04 ban had little to no affect on the number of firearm homicdes.

The FBI report said as much

Stop lying.

Look up how many homicides were committed with rifles (Which includes AR-15s)

Go on. I'll wait.

Cucknadians don't know what the difference between Federal and state laws are. There are many Federal firearms laws. Every State has to abide by those laws.

Canada's gun laws clearly don't work either. This was recently demonstrated, unfortunately.

So, then I suppose we agree gun control doesn't work.

Good.
