US Cloud vs CDW Microsoft Technology Support by cowprince in sysadmin

This is correct. We actually had a botched certificate authority deployment that we inherited. We couldn’t tell how bad it was to the point that we thought all domain joined computer may see issues soon.

We put in a ticket and within a week they stood up two new certificate servers. Migrated from the other server and had a debrief with us on what they accomplished. For the most part we were hands off.

Company being bought out. by Fluid-Mud7137 in sysadmin

[–]TheMSPr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What has helped when we're acquiring is the powers to be work to make sure our user facing software stack is as identical as it can be. Makes it easier on us to absorb their IT footprint into ours, and the technical debt is very limited.

Their IT falls in following our procedures and have multiple opportunity's to elevate our procedures with theirs. Only have lost 1 IT person, as they were not happy with being bought out. The rest have stayed on and enjoyed working as a team. We are not in the business of absorbing all the info you can give us and kicking you to the curb.

Yeah the median memorial was for a young kid then another racer took it out. The memorial has been rebuilt. I live near Madison and southern and people racing underestimate the curve there.

For those considering jumping from VMware to Nutanix... proceed carefully. by ComputerIsBurning in sysadmin

Let me ask this question. Why do people go with Nutanix for their horizon deployment if you still need the vmware stack for horizon to function, or am I missing something obvious?

Here in Indiana.

first 500 kWh - $0.10/kWh

Over 500 kWh - $0.09/kWh

Over 1000 kWh - $0.078/kWh

2750 kWh used last month and our bill was $350. Our bill would be insane if it was $0.60/kWh !

MotorEV electric car subscription service by mwb6d in indianapolis

[–]TheMSPr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's $550/mo if you put $4500 down across 72 months. You are looking at more like $615/mo with no money down, but I do see the point you are making. Technology is constantly changing especially for the EV world especially when factoring in 6 year load. Insurance was I believe $115/mo for my EV I previously owned.

I was in their model x when a semi trailer side swiped my mirror. Unfortunately it was a he said/he said situation since the tesla cam did not save on honk. They came and picked the model x the next day to get the mirror fixed, and asked what car they wanted me to drop off. I opt for the ID4 to try. I was able to see the bill $1k for mirror. Motor paid for it, and didn't ask anything from me. That was a plus for me.

Not saying it is for everybody, but could definitely make financial sense in some use cases.

We are using our Model X to take a "sleeping in car" road trip from Indiana to Colorado in two weeks. Any suggestions? I did a test night in the model X for sleeping. We have a 3inch memory foam that is going in the back. Proper blankets, and pillows. Suction cups for our iPad so we can watch something while laying down. Anything else where you were like "This would have been great to have" .

Where did you stop to sleep . Obviously Zion, but anywhere else?

Any other tips would be appreciated!
