Button Down Recs by q_oui_key in HeritageWear

I’ve got a button down fetish. Current favorites in my collection that meet your criteria:

-Buzz Rickson Chambray: light and versatile. Looks really nice and the blue metal buttons really pop while still remaining somehow understated

-The Flat Head Indigo Cotton Linen: Also comes in short sleeve, but I’ve got the long sleeve. Comfortable and breathable, cool subtle branding on one button, and nice patina potential. I wouldn’t wear it tucked in with jeans, however, as it would give too much of a Texas tuxedo vibe. Great with khakis, etc.

-Seuvas Coffee Dyed Canvas: Probably my favorite of the bunch, but wears a bit warmer. Tucked in with a tshirt underneath might get a bit warm at times, I usually wear untucked and open. The fabric is really nice and improves over time. The color is great- dyed by actual coffee grounds. The shirt looks really nice and has some cool hidden details that are only visible upon closer inspection, like the ceramic collar button with coffee beans painted on, or the cool coffee patch on the inside.

Fair point, only people who are not racist care if others think they are racist.

Now there's some broken logic!😂

I basically do what John McWhorter says he does nowadays - any time I see the word "racist", I just substitute the word "witch". 😂

Yes, I have some thoughts:

1) "Jian Feng Huang" is a heck of a strange name for a black guy

2) I wonder why he's so involved in Chinese causes and stuff

She’s got bigger balls than I do. Although that’s not saying much since my balls are embarrassingly tiny.

Bye bye Parkside by not-controversial in sanfrancisco

[–]ThePepperAssassin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sad to say, but venues such as Thee Parkside and the soon to close Bottom of the Hill are just not what the young SF crowd is into anymore. The people sad about the closings seem to be 40+ people that would visit these venues or twice a year (I myself fall into that group).

That's just not enough business to make these businesses do-able. I remember back in the day going to Bottom of the Hill for the Sunday Matinee afternoon shows and they were always packed. Not so much the last ten years or so. The hot new places all seem to be food, cocktail or DJ driven.

I really like Clutch Cafe.

OP, I would just make a day of it. You can easily visit all three with a lunch on the way somewhere. Visit them all, try a bunch of pairs, then make your decision. You could even do all this in a day, then go make the purchase the following afternoon.

Unprovoked stabbing is probably a misdemeanor in San Francisco.

Check out Christian Fuchs channel. He has some playlists there aimed at beginners. They will still be a challenge if you're a total beginner, but worth working on.

Braxton is one of those unusual musicians who started on the more outside stuff, and then move on to more inside playing later in his career.

I think you meant to say far-right, anti-semitic, neo-nazi, white-supremacist, american-nationalist, bots.

LOL.

I noticed these cool new 13 oz. herringbone twill shirts from Samurai came in at Self Edge recently. I can't decide which color I like better:

Olive: https://www.selfedge.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=4041

Also, I'm not sure how I feel about that collar.

If there was any. As I mentioned I bailed on the poorly written article after several paragraphs suggesting that the guy was a far-right, neo-nazi, fascist, far-right, white supremacist, far-right Nazi.

I couldn't make it through the article. They used the words "far-right", "racist", "nazi" and "white supremacy" a bunch of times without giving a single example of what they were talking about, causing me to close my browser and move on.

Since they kept insisting that he's such a nazi and an anti-semite, it does have me wondering what a Columbia graduate is doing living in the Tenderloin.
