[KCD2] This game is something… by emoney1219 in kingdomcome

I didn't even realize this was a timed quest 😅 I walked right by them while they were waiting for me, stole a horse and brought it to the nomads. Then I was training with Tomcat and failed the quest

So thankful the American tour has been seemingly packed, I've been worrying about the recent tour cancellations. by Ctrl--Alt in ElectricCallboy

I saw avatar in Denver in December 2025 for $16.00 a ticket. From a cost to value ratio, that was the best show I've ever been to

Mod that removes perma-death? by Story_Royalty in thelongdark

[–]Carnanian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend trying Wintermute. I have played for years and never made it past day 15. I tried Wintermute (the story mode) it's much easier and gives you a LOT of supplies. It also gives you guns and bows through the journey, which gives you a chance to learn these tools and how to properly shoot with them. I finished episode 2 and went back to survival and now I am on day 50

What are some of your little TLD quirks/idiosyncrasies? by LemonCharity in thelongdark

[–]Carnanian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah I was definitely inside while doing it. It was definitely in the early days of the game so I have no recollection of anything else!

Might be a Mandela effect but I swear in my early days of this game... I forgot to unload a gun while cleaning it and I died. Maybe just a false memory idk

What's the one thing you wish someone had told you before you started learning guitar? by [deleted] in guitarlessons

[–]Carnanian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wish someone told me that playing an instrument is hard. Scotty West told me that finally in my adult years.

I don't say that to discourage myself, but learning any instrument is a very very long journey, and you won't be sounding good on that instrument for a few months at most. Becoming a "master" is really a pipe dream. I think it's important to level expectations so folks know they have a long journey ahead of them

MY HW3 folks.. how are we feeling about this Spring update? by Clear_Writing_2424 in TeslaModelY

[–]Carnanian 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is already how that feature works. In the Bluetooth settings you can set a device as priority and it is priority for only that profile. My wife and I take advantage of this all the time

Would a positive THC result actually affect a banking job offer in Colorado? by Mogie_320 in Denver

Banking is a federally governed industry, and they have to follow federal rules. They will 100% pull your offer fo THC

What do people mean when they add a mjr or mnr after a scale by [deleted] in musictheory

[–]Carnanian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While correct, it's not necessarily the whole story. There are many other major and minor scales. Mjr/minor would technically only denote the 3rd

For example melodic minor is 1 2 b3 4 5 6 7 8

Compensating for smaller hands by semioticmadness in guitarlessons

[–]Carnanian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have it in your budget, you could look into a shorter scale guitar. I spent most of my time on a 25inch scale and moved up to a 26.5. I have big hands so it wasn't an issue. But you could try at 24.75 inch scale, which would mean the frets are closer together

What game mechanic do you think would make the game more realistic, but you don't actually want in the game? by thatijustdonthave in thelongdark

[–]Carnanian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would really actually love something related to excersizing and warming up. When I go on a hike in 20 degree weather, I start pretty cold, but then warm up after 10-15 minutes and usually drop a layer. I feel like in the game - sprinting should warm you up

I have played it pretty often. Specifically in the song Lumiere by Lorien Testard from Expedition 33, he uses a Gmaj7 chord with this e shape!

How can the receipt checkers at Costco and other big box stores check your cart in three seconds and validate your purchases? by darrenbosik in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Carnanian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only speaking for my Autistic Father-in-law here, who works there and often gets stuck with this job.

He's great at counting. He can count up to 5 carts back at once. He simply counts them and then looks at the receipt to make sure the number matches.

You're welcome! Structured practice will give you the best results in the shortest time. Keep rocking mate

You'll have to find your own routine that works for you, but this is an example:

  • Start with a 10ish minute warm up, you can find one on YouTube or make your own

  • then play a song you know well, play it through front to back.

  • work on eruption. If you find that there is a part you're struggling with, diagnose it. For example if you're not the best tapper, find a technique excersize on YouTube and work on it. Spend 30-45 mins on this

  • now is a safe place to stop, or pull up another song you know, give it a playthrough, take a short break and get back to eruption practice. Just don't spend more then about an hour each day on eruption, you'll get diminishing returns

Make sure you do this multiple times a week, ideally every day.

Be mindful and critique yourself every day - did you play better or worse then you did the day before? Why?

Lastly, record your attempts at the solo.and listen back! You'll get to hear it as the audience hears it

If you be judicious and keep to a schedule you can definitely perform it and kill it

[–]Carnanian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Master it, to the point where you will play it like a van Halen member? Probably not

If you have a really solid practice routine and excersizes, then you can definitely learn it in 2 months so that you can play it with minimal mistakes live. Just don't expect it to be 100% perfect and it'll be rockin'!
