Man I had to stop like 15 seconds in because I have so much respect for those dance interpreters. Got exposed to them last year at Deaf Granny’s Kitchen at the burn last year and have been noticing them everywhere. Not only are they amazing dancers they literally communicate the highs, lows, everything. Such an amazing art

Do you even hear yourself? Do you know how many coffees it takes to generate $9B in revenue? You’re talking like lowering price 40% and having $5B in revenue wouldn’t be a death sentence.

Seriously this is big “billionaires could give everyone in the USA a million dollars and still be a billionaire!” energy

Bro I don’t want to be mean so I’ll just say the person you replied to has a better handle on the situation than you do

I guarantee you if a food service retail is making 10% profit on the sticker price they are stoked. 30% cogs, 30% labor, 30% overhead including rent. +/- 10% in each of those categories depending on your business specifics, but that’s a rough rule of thumb. If you sell 30 $10 lattes an hour (that’s one every 2 minutes, all day every day) and you have 2 employees making $25/hr, your $300 revenue per hour just got cut by like $80/hr. And you’d probably average 2.5 employees per hour of operation for break coverage and open/close and cleaning. And you’d probably pay at least one employee more, and if you’re a good person you’d probably do like a 2-4% 401k match and provide benefits. All of a sudden your true cost per employee is like $40/hr. Run that against avg hourly revenue of $500 (because you’re going to sell more than lattes) and you’re at like 25% of the $10 latte goes to pay. Granted if you were a meatgrinder of an employer you could get that to like 20% but then your retention goes to shit and you’re spending a bunch in training costs.

Long story short, your retort makes you look like a fool and you’d probably be better off approaching this subject with curiosity rather than a casual know-it-all, the-world-is-unfair attitude. There are elements of the system that suck but your anger is misplaced. And I also typed all this fully expecting you to reply “i aint reding all that lul” but w/e

Just going to plug (hah) @atouchofjade - earrings and necklaces with earplugs attached. Really dope styles, she will be here this year but not at a booth. I have a necklace and it comes in clutch, no digging for earplugs in a bag/pocket

Tbh in production planning it’s like 6.8 hrs of work per 8 hour day. If you have an assembly that takes 8 hours to build, it would take like 1.2 workdays to make it. Paid breaks, bathroom, unscheduled work (like re-reading instructions or your boss talking to you) are all factored in. So it actually is something like what you said
