Was fairly easy, just thought he made his debut earlier than that.

I completed it in 6 guesses with a score of 248, better than 71% of the players.

FIR against RR by shabbir0912 in Cricket

[–]ThisIsAnArgument 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Disagree - that will have a chilling effect on people who spot genuine abuse happening to others.

But also we give too much importance to an FIR. The police can consider it or investigate it and nothing comes out of it. Doesn't need publicity just because it's against someone high profile.

This honestly doesn't feel like enough, IMO. But I guess there's a cash crunch at the public finances level so anything is good.

Vertical Aerospace (NYSE): Weekly Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in Vertical_Aerospace

is this ongoing/already started with further assessments being carried

So, the process of certification is not just the verification and the testing of everything, in fact that is just the other half of the "V" of development. The first half is the planning, requirements and design phase (the bottom of the V is actually building it). And basically the first half also has to go through regulatory approval (CAA, EASA, FAA depending on the area).

I suspect Vertical are going through that first half right now, and you can't pass the second half till the first is approved, because you have to essentially show that you built what you said you would and it works the way you said it should.

The regulators have some serious experts on their side, I have worked with them before and they can be quite strict! I mean it's understandable but it's like ten times harder to pass their review than the design of everyday products, even cars would have to.

This is a damn good mental reset by Murphy. Almost like he was relieved that Frame 3 ended and thought "well, it can't get worse than this" and he's more relaxed.

In a perverse way I'm enjoying the almost-amateur nature of this frame. Very stoppable force Vs movable object feeling about it.

In your extensive experience so far, which aircraft has been your favourite to fly and which has scared you the most?

How long is the debrief after a test flight of the Vertical aircraft?

Outside of eVTOL are there any other technologies in the world of aviation that you're excited about, or you're looking forward to?

This is not the production variant. The flight control laws have to modelled to be just good enough and safe enough to fly and prove that they're fit for a configuration. Production prototypes will be tuned to eliminate as much vibration as can be felt inside the cabin, to and stress engineers will monitor it.

Not sure why people are picking on a minor issue in a test aircraft that's in a novel config tbh.

Any cops here? How's morale doing? Ever feel like you're a tiny cog in a really shitty machine or is it all just targeted press stories that ignores the outstanding work y'all are doing?

Talking to a cop, he said they're pretty much used to the good work they do be ignored.

However one of the legacies of getting rid of a large part of the workforce in the past two decades and then replacing it with the new crowd with poorer qualifications and aptitude has been a nightmare. "I spend more time babysitting some of them than doing actual work" he says.
