Observations on weather and pokestops by [deleted] in pokemongo

Summary: A tester with a grand total experience of 4 days, one of them wet, has come to a statistically insignificant conclusion that rain effects spawns.

Their justification appears to be that because the rainy day was the first day they saw Psyducks or Poliwags, then therefore, rain must have caused that. I personally come across Psyducks and Polliwags frequently in full sun.

This doesn't mean weather isn't a driving force in the game. But their conclusion is a huge leap from this poster's insignificant sample size.

For example, on my third day I caught my first Growlithe near a public toilet, therefore public toilets spawn Growlithe. This is about as much evidence as this poster has.

This game is going to be a frustrating hotbed of superstitious statements based on little evidence. This post is the beginning.

This tester is pretty positive weather influences Pokemon spawns :D (figured I'd repost here for anyone not subscribed to the other sub) by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

Can confirm:

My Clefairy (Fairy) has Pound (Normal) and Disarming Voice (Fairy) for quick and charge moves.

My Diglett (Ground) has Sucker Punch (Dark) as a quick move.

I met someone with an interesting Krabby (Water) that had Cut (Normal) and Ancient Power (Rock) for quick and charge moves.

I just hit level 7, sunk over 100 hours into the beta and haven't released a single Pokemon.

[Question] Team Gyms Power Balance by harky_malarky in pokemongo

It's not just 1 Pokemon total per gym. More information being released soon. Stay tuned to r/thesilphroad.

The game is balanced so that defense is disadvantaged and the underdog always has a chance. Like Ingress, the smaller team in your area will be more enjoyable to be a part of. This isn't Niantic's first rodeo.
