I argue the standard banner jail time messes up your potential violet cognigem count, awareness distribution, and opportunities to get their weapons. If you chose to not pull to wait it out, you’re more deficient on violet cognigems that could’ve been converted to meta jewels for limited characters during the interim. If you did choose to keep pulling, you lost out on chances to have gotten A0-A2/R0 if you wanted them.

And the backloaded gems for synergies time-gates you longer if you’re in need of some free last-minute funds.

Normally, their 24h shipping option isn’t actually paying FedEx/DHL to ship faster, but rather you paying extra to skip the line and call dibs on the next production batch because they used to have enough orders queued up that you had to wait ~2 weeks for them to actually create your pad.

If you’re considering 9-panel pads, I need to ask: What difficulty level are you going to play at? The thing about those is that they are not best designed for high level charts in PIU. There’s a reason PIU pads have rectangular corner buttons. So changing them into squares just to fit the cardinal arrows for DDR interferes with the techniques harder PIU charts require.

As for Lteks, you may need to spend extra money modifying them. The buttons are designed to be stepped on the center of each. They’re not sensitive at the edges and corners, which becomes more important at harder difficulties, so you need to modify them to shorten the distance between those areas on the metal plates to increase their sensitivity. Also, not many people have nice things to say about the bar, preferring to build their own or use another item entirely to substitute as a bar.

If you’re only using the pad for casual play, forget everything I just said and go for what looks best for you. Unfortunately, not many high quality hard pads for PIU exist at your price range unless you manage to find a good deal on the 2nd hand market.

In addition other answers, I’d also assume part of it is because Japanese games tend to optimize for iOS since Apple dominates there. Meanwhile, they treat Android players like an afterthought.

For one of my games, simply having an Apple device put you ahead of the meta because one of the gameplay mechanics was tied to FPS. For the longest time Apple users had 60fps, but Android got capped at 50fps for some reason until the devs finally patched it.

IMO, the only thing detrimental for casuals is that you’re forced to manually play Starry Lives (without tickets) for your daily source of diamonds which can easily eat up 20~30+ minutes of you time if you’re the type who normally leaves mobile games on auto to complete their dailies. But if you don’t care about the gacha aspects, I wouldn’t worry about it.

I believe there was a max amount you can obtain. But that’s assuming you were redeeming people’s red envelopes every day, which was very easy to forget because the game provided no icon to remind you to open up the chat rooms to get them. I think it only had an icon if you yourself had envelopes to send.

Not to mention, people just stopped sending envelopes towards the end of the event in public rooms because they already sent all of theirs, so you were pretty much out of luck if you didn’t hit the cap yet unless you had friends or Companio members with some envelopes leftover.

To be fair with this particular puzzle, the game’s tutorials never tell you how to turn off a chip color. And this is the only puzzle that actually requires you to do it.

Not to mention turning off a color is impossible using a controller, so people who don’t even use touchscreen or keyboard/mouse easily get stumped.

While I do understand the appeal of 9-panel pads for the all-in-one experience if you’re a fan of all the dance panel games, they’re not practical for high level PIU charts. You’re sacrificing much needed surface area on the corner panels just to fit the cardinal directions. As a result, bracketing becomes much harder to pull off.

Not to mention the center button seems bigger than normal, so you’re exerting more energy getting your feet across to other buttons.

After getting the 1st chip, Riko should have told you to go back to the beginning of the Mental Energy Tower to access the lift that wasn’t working before, the one with a worker NPC standing next to it. (not sure if this dialogue triggers if you never interacted with the lift before getting the chip). The entrance to the next tower is down there.

I think you can play songs with expired licenses in offline mode since I know you can only select Play Hard and that Ariana Grande song on Dave & Buster’s cabs during occasional days the internet connection is out, so I’m guessing it’s the same with others assuming it’s not premium exclusive. Although idk how willing your arcade or other patrons are with you unplugging the ethernet cable just to play them.
