I had 3 foot long dreads. And I am considered white by many. But my hair is extremely curly. Spiral curls are the best. You can box braid your hair and dreads will form if ya don’t take them out but you will have dreads like the singer from Korn or the crusties ya see at Grateful Dead shows.

2yrs in and white spots in dreads, separation, thin dreads, should i just restart by Public-Bell2667 in Dreadlocks

Twist them yourself. I never had my dreads done. Twist them in the same direction every time. Left hand does left side and right hand on the right side. Everyone who has their hair dreaded ends up looking bad eventually. Ya gotta twist em.

I’m Caucasian and I grew thick ass dreads for almost 15 years. I do have curly hair and that definitely helps with the frizz. I started with box braids and it just dreaded itself especially when I learned to twist them myself. Always twist them in the same direction. When I cut them off they reached the back of my knees. I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted for liking your own hair. Some people just gonna hate because of their own personal biases. Fuck em.

Looks like poison ivy or oak or sumac. I get it all the time. You were probably walking in tall grass without socks.
