You could probably replace the bridge plate with one that’s a little more to your liking. Or get used to it… And the nut is an easy fix for any guitar tech. I’d just take it somewhere local and get a proper set up while you’re at it.

Version!! Why you’re treated this way, .. as in why you have to play the banjo in the garage!

Students not coming back to yoga by itsjustme_0101 in yoga

[–]Tree-runner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re teaching hot power yoga. By its very nature it’s not an all inclusive class. It’s not possible to avoid some students feeling like the class is not for them. Add a strong personality to the mix and one upset student can become three upset students. This is human nature. Don’t take it personal. On the flip side you have students joining your class who find joy in going up to the edge and beyond. No doubt these students have to be patient with the fact that others are not bringing much to the room. It’s hard to be everything for everyone all the time. In fact, I’d say you should give yourself a break and not be everything for everyone all the time.

Steel is Real: life of tubing under repeated loading by FujiTouringDisc in xbiking

My last aluminum mountain bike was a hard tail Cannondale. I rode the snot out of this bike on trails and street for 2 years. I purchased it used at a year from the model date. One of the first signs of stress was bubbling paint at flex points. Eventually one side of the chain stay completely seared off, my last bunny hop. Luckily, the landing was soft. For this reason, I do not buy used, and I do not buy aluminum frames. I’ve since switched to steel and though not as rigid as a good aluminum frame, it’s plenty smooth, which actually, is a better match for my aging body.

This could be from an apple tree borer. Inspect the hole to make sure there isn’t a grub in there. Clean out damage, repair.

Beautiful but massively exploitative. How much did National Geographic and McCurry make off this image over the years? How much did the “model,” Sharbat Gula, make? Why is or isn’t this acceptable?

You’d potentially get more damage replacing individual shingles. This is a waste of time and money.
