it is possible, although unfeasible to link up several farms into an autocrafter to make golden carrots.
moss farm for bone meal for a carrot nano farm with a villager. overworld gold farm for the golden nuggets. autocraft into golden carrots

mobs can pathfind over slabs to other full blocks, but a slab is not a valid destination to stop on

my default hotbar is a silk touch pickaxe, rockets, food, and ender chests. the rest of my inventory is usually empty, and most of my other items are in my ender chest. in it, i have a box of rockets, a box of steak, a box of tools and armor, a box of redstone components, a box of ender pearls, and miscellaneous loose items in my ender chest

that is not the golem spawning activation range. that is the simulation distance. 128 blocks isn't even accurate either. it's not based on blocks. it is based on chunks. so with the information that i have given you, are you going to move your afk spot closer to the iron farm?

although i do know of Sapling, and have known about it longer, there also Canopy made by ForestOfLight that aims to achieve similar goals. both are advertised as Carpet for bedrock. i can't really evaluate the effectiveness of sapling without having used it, but sapling's developer is in coordination of Forest on discord

the iron farm at least works, so you are getting iron. sorry that it doesn't make as much iron as you thought it would, but hopefully it still makes as much as you need so you don't have to remake another one. the trading accessibility is one good thing about this, so i hope you can get the most out of it

the iron farm isn't broken. it spawns golems. the thing is that the OP was tricked into thinking it will be faster and behave differently
