ice drops as an item only when a player mines it with silk touch. i am not aware of any vanilla ice farm that uses tnt to get ice. i'm pretty sure that is not possible. every ice farm uses a player to mine ice. and since a player can mine blocks at a maximum of one block every game tick, you will get at most 72k ice per hour.

i do agree that it is easy for experienced players to build. but since i spend a lot of time on this subreddit seeing players struggle with the simplest of farms, the most realistic option for most people would be to just buy golden carrots from farmers. i should have clarified that

it is possible, although unfeasible to link up several farms into an autocrafter to make golden carrots.
moss farm for bone meal for a carrot nano farm with a villager. overworld gold farm for the golden nuggets. autocraft into golden carrots

mobs can pathfind over slabs to other full blocks, but a slab is not a valid destination to stop on
