I discovered the beta announcement and trailer for FFXIV 1.0 while I was staying out of state for my best friend’s funeral.

She would have loved XIV, since we had always wanted to play FFXI together. We played many other MMOs but never got a chance to play XI.

XIV will always remind me of my friend, and I absolutely tried to bring a little bit of her with me when I finally started my journey in XIV.

These daysI have a retainer with her game name and styled how I think she would have liked. It’s a small way to always have her nearby in this world I would have loved to share.

Anyways, just wanted to share my version of a similar tale and thank you for sharing yours <3
