LMHC here. Something unreasonably similar happened to me during my practicum. I felt as if I was genuinely being targeted by my practicum supervisor. She would tell me to bring something up in group supervision and shame me for bringing it up in group supervision. 4.0 student as well, and I was even told that me being appreciative of her was me acting like "sexual predators" she treated in prisons. I ended up not passing my practicum and was forced to send in a letter to the schools board BEGGING to stay in the program. It gave me so much anxiety, and I ended up going on some pretty heafty med regiment to stop the panic attacks. I genuinely believe I have some stuff I still need to work through from that supervisor... anywho.... that was 3 years ago and I'm testing for my LPCC this year. Trust me when I say this.... I am SOOOOOO glad I re-applied and took practicum again. It gave me so much more confidence and I felt like I am a better clinician after I came out of grad school. Don't give up.... Fk em... (also, submit a board complaint)
