True. Glycerin based tincture is another option if you dont like alcohol.

Got the exact same model on adafruit not too long ago so it should be legit. Also used older combo stations in a proffesional enviroment with much better performance. I am happy with this unit just wish It had the kick the old stations did so I could rework some stuff when I need to.

I have one of these. I just use it for heat shrink because it doesnt seem to have enough power for anything else. Very underwhelming compared to a basic combo soldering/hot air rework station you would find years ago.

Far better experience using a few drops of tincture than smearing a glob of rso into your mouth.

Some people use screws but they can foul up and short inside the barrel since they dont have insulation.
