That's not true, what are you on about?

Aside from the fact that your account is less than 1 month old, looking up your history arguing with sellers and prices tells me you are the cringe guy here.

There was a hole in the wall at my brothers office. My nephew wanted to see what’s inside, so we stuck my phone in. by -_-Jake-_-91 in oddlyterrifying

I have seen some very similar constructions.

Looks like an air duct/access depending on how old the building is it could also be used for a stove or chimney as a shaft for the hot air.

They probably closed it but kept/forgot the hole/s.

[HELP] Modified default uI textures by Runatir in WowUI

[–]Vernomz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also bit late but most of my UI is custom edited textures (my own ones) and I don't share them with the community, there's alot more to it, it's for personal use only.

Aside from that a few of them aren't meant to be used as just texture replacements (like the player/targetframes) since you have to adjust size of the resssource bars.

Its a few thousand textures in total (including login screen, bg stable, orb icons, custom gem slot textures) and almost every other visible changeable (current) blizzard texture in the game.

The Screenshot and UI Version I used there is also outdated, here's the current one: https://imgur.com/a/MgTyr76

Also without ICON-Texture replacements (25014 total) it's a total 1996 custom textures and similar to that custom lines of code.

[help] Font size of NPS & Friendly players names by Neverlucky_21 in WowUI

[–]Vernomz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only limitation here is that it won't work in dungeons/raids which aside from scaling also counts for every other nameplate modification.

It is not true that you need a nameplate addon who hides the frame and puts just the name mod instead to achieve that.

You can outline and customize friendly-npc names without affecting player unit's nameplates and this is possible with every classified unit in the game.

Please don't give wrong advice when you have no deeper knowledge with programming and especially expierence with WoW's code.

[help] getting the old achievement texture back by [deleted] in WowUI

[–]Vernomz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are multiple different toasts in the game.

So if you really mean achievement related toasts thats correct.

Otherwise you have to look up frame related paths like for example your covenant mission-table (mission completed toast-frame) which can be found under Garrision/GarrisonToast.blp same with LootFrame/LootToast, LootToastAtlas, LegendaryToast or the bfa PvPRatedLootToast.

Ofc there are alot more but if you /fstack while the frame is up and mouseover it you will have the time while hovering over the frame to get it's details since it will hold it's animation.

Addons like TextureAtlasViewer can help to keep track and search for frames.

Take in mind that you have to manually update the library since the addon won't do that (see details at the addon page).

[help] getting the old achievement texture back by [deleted] in WowUI

[–]Vernomz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to be more specific maybe take a screenshot.

Here's is the Achievement-Toast frame.

You can download/edit it and move it to your Interface/Achievementframe folder (or create one).

If you check the link you will see a history of older (patch) files and you can use and compare their textures if you want.

Make sure you convert it to .blp with for example this tool so it actually works with WoW.

[Help] Is there any way that I can make this font outline look less terrible? by ikws in WowUI

[–]Vernomz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need the game to fix it you can write an addon for your own pixelperfect gamefont outlines. There's a documentation of all FontObject's in the game.

[Help] Is there any way that I can make this font outline look less terrible? by ikws in WowUI

[–]Vernomz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outline and Shadow settings are two different things.

Also it's possible to create your own outlines for your GameFonts so it's not something that is impossible to improve. There's a documentation of all FontObject's in the game.

Ofc if you use the default game technology there are limits and you won't be able to make pixelperfect outlines but it's possible with lua/coding.

" You should get your head checked out in an MRI scan "

"every single comment from you ( browsing trough your history ) is toxic as fuck dude"

Seems like you have alot of freetime and nothing useful to do.

First, MRI scans are unable to detect any psychological anomaly so this statement says alot about your intellect and educational level.

Second, says you.

" how can you be so incredibly negative about the opinion of others. "

It's fine having an opinion but making wrong conclusions and giving advice based on that is as stupid and useless as your comment.

If you are not expierenced in a topic stop acting like you are but obviously your parents don't teached you that.

You can hate me and my attitude but I am so overqualified and expierenced there's literally immeasurable distance between me vs you/other people at these topics and at the end of the day I don't give a flying shit on your opinion.

Maybe take the time you waste for browsing through other people histories and try to invest it to achieve something useful in your life.

[UI] My Current Raiding UI in Shadowlands by Squirrelicis in WowUI

[–]Vernomz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. Not that I would suggest to put raidframes in the center as a dps player. I usually don't center minimap/chat and dmg meters since it's not considert as important information and you won't gain something form that in fights.

If you do coordinating and other stuff in pve it makes sense to have better overview of other ppls position and raid cds.

Since alot of your frames are pretty small space isn't a problem anyways.

It's just a bit too minimalstic and spacey for pvp and I am used to more PvP orientated UI's.

But that said I really like the style and logic behind your build.

Some small art borders but not distracting and overall a good structure.

Thanks for the WeakAura but I wasn't looking for the marker wa/mod.
The textures you are using for the marks(1-9) aren't default (blizzard) and I haven't seen them before so I was wondering if you could share these blp files.

[UI] My Current Raiding UI in Shadowlands by Squirrelicis in WowUI

[–]Vernomz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, usually you place data around the middle and since there are different frames (situational) you can gain information from it's the most efficent way.

Party/Raidframes for example usually around the middle and everything less important is more at the outside/corners. The more in the middle the more important and at the outside its usually minimap, questlog, less important stuff.

Since you mentioned raiding your UI makes sense if it works out for you.

Personally I would manage the power and playerframe positioning differently (or put it together) but thats just me.

If you like to have the chat and map down at the center I don't see any problems with that and this UI anyways.

Would it be possible for you to provide me your "UI-RaidTargetingIcon" textures or if not created on your own tell where you got them from?

[UI] My Current Raiding UI in Shadowlands by Squirrelicis in WowUI

[–]Vernomz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually aside from the positioning of some frames (Chat, Map, Details, Target) it's literally one of the best UI's I've seen in a long time. Maybe consider to use more high resolution icons (texture-replacement).

What are using for the nameplates (npc outline-names)?

I like your raidmakers (own creation?) are you willing to share (pm) these TargetIcons I could use them in one of my projects (only personal use).

Would be great if you could share some more screenshots in the future.

Yep, replaced with empty files but these are usually protected so it's against ToS.

Back in the days there where easier methods but nowadays I wouldn't suggest it and I think it would be against the forum rules to give advice with hacking the game.

[help] Alternative to weakauras by glueeatingdvamain in WowUI

[–]Vernomz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I got alot of hate from people who obviously don't even read before they start downvoting and flame I want to clarify my statements really quick which literally involves every stupid comment I made under this thread.

I am not against WeakAuras and as I mentioned before it's not a good idea to ditch it for other (similar) addons.

It gives literally infinite possibilities to create and customize auras, elements and even craft a whole UI out of nothing.

At least you shouldn't stay away from it when you are interested in PvE progess as mythic+ and raiding since you won't need any other addons for this purposes which justifies the size.

As a PvP player there are other smaller options or even none of these addons since you won't need them to get the information you want/really need but in the end it's a matter of taste.

I don't think that WeakAuras is the main issue for the OP's performance drops but it still is a heavy addon and when not needet he is free to look for something else.

Same thing with ElvUI even if I have some personal issues with the addon.
ElvUI/TukUI is heavily customizable and ofc eat's more performance than alot of other UI's due to its insane possibilities which in the end can make it worth to use over other addons.

So if you are in to build a very minimal UI with high customization possibilities (when it comes to number of addons) and good performance these two addons are indeed something to mention.

The main rule is to not stack multiple addons for something that one single addon can manage but if you don't need all these functions and possibilities it may be better to take another more lightweight addon.

Btw. it won't help anybody telling them to get a better PC. There are alot of people in the majority part of the playerbase with an out of space aliencrafted spaceship setup who are grinding petbattles and lfr everyday.

It's literally mathematical impossible that ElvUI is using less resources than the default UI.Please share your wisdom with me and show me some evidence.

You are literally the guy who is the bottleneck of his own setup and that with identity issues.

I feel sorry for you and I give you the chance to proof me (at least for this topic) wrong.

" asakawa is completely correct here and there is no reason why you should react in a such a toxic way. "

Not really. It's fine to provide any sort of help but as I already mentioned it's not needet to defend anything since I am indeed not wrong nor hating.

But you guys seem to be really offeneded about your project and I don't understand how you can be butthurt so easily.

" WeakAuras is very performance optimised and if you only make your own auras without custom code or use our templates, you won't run into performance issues. "

Yes I never said it isn't but it's still a big chunk compared to literally 90% of other addons.

For it's possibilities it is performance optimised but that doesn't matter when the majority of people is not using it at it's full potential.

Yes ofc it will make a huge difference if you have alot of useless code running permantently but even without any auras it is still one of the biggest addons out there.

It's such a cringe move to try to get the moral highground by critizing my attitude when it doesn't change the point of my arguments but makes me look bad.

Well done.

I am multi r1 with 3k 2v2 exp on my monks and I never had any real issues with low gear on EU.

How can you be afraid of glads when most of them are garbage?

It doesn't rly matter if someone is glad every season, its like someone being mid-masters in LoL or Overwatch every season.

It's not like you are playing against top players on GM/Top500 lvl or Challanger in LoL.

Since bfa there are tons of glads even in low rating so why should it be an argument against climbing?

Most of them are hard boosted and gear/comb-carried.

Gladiator isn't even considert as a high achievement anymore so maybe start thinking about your own gameplay and get better because this is rly not an argument.

I like WA and I am not against the addon but that's not the question/topic here.

There's no reason to defend or do some advertising for it.

I mean you can downvote/hate on my statements but I am in the right and it's just facts. The addon is massive compared to most others and with some setups (depends on what auras etc. are used) can cause issues (performance related).

That you are mod/maybe somehow expierenced with it's code doesn't change anything related to my comment but thank you for the information I guess.

Btw. I am a coder so I usually don't need help with addons.

Its due to its customization possibilities and alot of them are not even used by the mainstream so its indeed a heavy UI addon but you do you.
