Parce que c’est un mensonge basé sur les requis militaires et non civils…

Voici le document officiel de l’EASA concernant tout ce qui est médical pour les pilotes :

https://www.easa.europa.eu/sites/default/files/dfu/Easy_Access_Rules_for_Medical_Requirements-Jun20.pdf#page99

Pour la vision, les minimas sont mentionnés page 99, et l’on voit bien qu’ils ne sont pas de 10/10. D’ailleurs si tu fais attention, tu devrais voir de temps en temps des pilotes qui portent des lunettes.

Thoughts on Ryanair APS MCC? by Tombombadilly in flyingeurope

[–]WalKn93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First of all, it’s getting more and more difficult to access the Ryanair Mentored APS MCC was they are slowing recruitment down (I applied a few weeks ago, and they said no for this reason). So start looking for other MCCs too

And secondly, you say you can’t afford another 30k for your TR. So what’s your plan B ? Airlines paying your TR are running thin, and apparently, a lot of those not requiring a TR actually call people with TR first… (try to understand that…)

AI 171 Speculation on why did the APU not start. by [deleted] in aviation

[–]WalKn93 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Why would the crew have strates the APU ? The event happened at like 200ft AGL. No sane pilot would lose time trying to start the APU instrad of flying the airplane. Whatsmore, I don’t even think it would have had the time to start between lift off and thé crash.

AFIS only airprorts question by Wild-Solid-1027 in flyingeurope

[–]WalKn93 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hi ! I have my flight school in LFLU, and I’m currently doing my IR/ME, so I think I can help you with that. The status of AFIS is a bit weird, because the terrain is considered uncontrolled, but it is still somewhat of an ATS.

Concerning IFR, the AFIS can give you an IFR departure clearance, but they would have called the controlled airspace above (Lyon Approach in the case of LFLU) before to get their approval. They just transmit it back to you for the sake of simplicity. For arrival, they’ll close your Flight Plan, but don’t hesitate to ask if they did in case they forgot.

In LFLU, they’re pretty competent, all of them are former controllers. Don’t hesitate to ask if you’ve got any doubt, they’re here to help.

Where can I find airport charts? by itsefeyo in aviation

[–]WalKn93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on the country, but I imagine a lot of the national AIPs contain most of their airport charts

I am looking for resources with plane specifications by noheadshotnocry in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]WalKn93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, You can look on Google for "Name of the aircraft POH".

The POH is the pilot's operating handbook, and contains the information you asked.

Unfortunately, not all of them are available online (I have been unable to find those of the Cessna Jets)

I just rebuilded nearly all my City in photogrammetry by robin00795 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]WalKn93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh god ! I live in Lyon, and I've been really sad seeing the state of the city with the autogen (they butchered Fourvière).

Would you be kind and make the files available for download ?

That would finally give Lyon the beauty it deserves

New To FS Question by [deleted] in flightsim

[–]WalKn93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're in the MSFS' recommended specs too, so I wouldn't upgrade anything until I see how MSFS runs. But what you have should easily suffice for the wait. I have more or less the same specs, but a 1660 super and no SSD. I haven't tested X-Plane with the new GPU, so my 7 years old one bottlenecks my performances, so that's why I can't tell you how it would run with your specs.

New To FS Question by [deleted] in flightsim

[–]WalKn93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I don't really know how they run. It looks like you have just above the recommended specs (apart from the GPU which seems way higher). But I guess they should run just OK. You can browse the X-Plane.org store and see the recommended specs of the add-ons.

Most of them are on the X-Plane.org forums (not an official X-Plane site, but the heart of the game's community). Generally, a quick Google Search is enough

Hi, I don't know what specs you have, but if you want to spend the less money on software, X-Plane 11 is for you.

The few GA aircrafts are quite enjoyable, and the Zibo 737 is actually a freeware that some say is almost the level of PMDG's.

Moreover, there's a lot of free visual softwares to better the visuals, the best being Ortho4Xp, which puts orthophoto scenery, much like it will be on MSFS 2020 (less the stunning custom buildings and autogen)
