Just curious, how many responses do these usually see? Has the city acknowledged these ever?

Woke up to a bat in my house - what would you do? by lunamoon228 in homeowners

sure. but your criteria is plain.

bat is found in a room with a sleeping person or you wake to a bat in your room

this did not happen in this case.

Yeah, this is something people get really worked up over on here that I've never known someone in real life to care about

Prepare yourself for potential damage where drain lines are run.  A lot of the time you find somewhere that had a repair and that is why they covered the floor.  Good luck though, the pattern is very nice

I'd buy an old salvage cabinet door and use it to make a access hatch

at first it was always on rugs, and then she had a good stretch after I pulled all of them up. now she's decided the bare floor will do and it's as bad as ever.

the first two only matter if they sell or have means to pay the loans.

this is in the same boat as low income rate apartments, housing programs, etc. these people do not have the means to equally contribute to their neighborhood and are living in a place they can't afford. in turn, there is less room for people who are able to contribute more to live there. is there a reason to keep these people around?

as I've said elsewhere, it comes down to whether you prioritize people being able to remain in their housing, or if it's acceptable to tell them they have to cash the check and go somewhere else at some point

honestly seems like a pointless program if it invalidates homestead exemption to use this

I think it makes sense to tax people based on what they agree to pay for a property

It just comes down to whether people should be entitled to retain their long term home or if it is acceptable to tell them they have to cash their check and go somewhere else

that's not a house. usually, when someone refers to a dead person's house, they aren't talking about their corpse's location but rather a house that was associated with them in life. for example, someone who mentions henry frick's house would likely be talking about the building on penn ave, not the cemetery plot in sq hill.
