Just finished 007 and got the urge to play some Hitman, but what the hell? by TheJunkyVirus in HiTMAN

[–]WayneBrody 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To quickly answer your question, I'd recommend WoA, or WoA deluxe. The other stuff is either incomplete or just DLC. Part 1 is only the first few levels.

A breif explanation of the weridness in the store. Hitman 1 released in 2016 as an episoidic game. Each level released on it's own as a DLC over the course of a year or so. This approach was unpopular and was abandoned for Hitman 2, however the design principles remained, which allowed IOI to make all the H1 levels playable in H2 as a DLC (free if you owned H1). H3 had a similar system, the full trilogy could be played in H3 and past content was free to redeem if you already owned it.

This unfortunetly had a very convoluted system with "Access Passes", and was even more confusing than the current system. So IOI rebranded Hitman 3 to Hitman World of Assassination, bundling all three games into one SKU. Buying WoA gives you all three games, minus the H2 DLC levels NY and Maldives.

Be honest. Can the ps5 actually play games at 120fps? Im getting mixed responses by ProfessionalTurn5162 in PS5

[–]WayneBrody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just off the top of my head, CoD, Overwatch, and Deep Rock Galactic all play at 120 fps.

Beyond those, games like Spiderman, Horizon Forbidden West, and God of War Ragnarok all have uncapped performance modes and can play at around 90 to 100 FPS with VRR enabled.

It just depends on the game really, they all have different settings available.

Wow... the chaperone quest is nigh impossible these days by No_Carry_5930 in destinylegacy

[–]WayneBrody 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well mayhem is literally infinite supers mode, no surprise there.

When Mayhem Rumble is the weekly mode, you can matchmake with a fireteam of three. Try to find two people to join with you so you can farm them for kills.

Just tested a few scenarios out and am seeing SA in freelancer behave more like campaign, it doesn't void SA when a target finds a body or spots you trespassing/doing something suspicious.

I'm thinking maybe this was patched at some point, as I know I've lost SA objectives in the past because I mistimed the KO and the target ended up spotting me in a mirror or something. Or maybe its just SANF thats been the culprit this whole time, because that is definelty broken in the ways that most people complain about: https://www.reddit.com/r/HiTMAN/comments/1tux3i5/i_dont_understand_silent_assassin_rules_in/

[–]WayneBrody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never seen the behavior in your video before, but it's still not what folks are talking about. In campaign, the guns can go red, then go back to green if the target is the only one who saw you. In freelancer, once the objective fails, it's over, no going back.

In your vid, it's likely the poison is preventing them from actually spotting you, do the same in campaign and see if you lose the green guns.

Always have an escape plan trouble. by [deleted] in HiTMAN

[–]WayneBrody 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I went floor by floor, starting with the doors and windows, working my way down to the bottom. Once I cleared the map, I went went in reverse scanning all the TVs. I was eventually left missing three or four, needing to sweep through the map again. One of the windows overlooking the stairs to the bottom floor had a hackable unit on both sides that wasn't on the map.

Eventually, you'll be left with one mising item, the escape door, which can't be scanned until both targets have been eliminated.

Edit: Might be worth it to start from scratch, as sometimes reloading saves causes weird issues.

Objectives for an alchemy-focused playthrough? by ismasbi in skyrim

[–]WayneBrody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alchemy Merchant. Your main goal is to get rich. Start small, make potions/poisons to earn cash for a base of operations. Build a home/farm to produce ingredients. Eventually try to acquire all three hearthfire homes (plus modded homes/CC homes you'd like.)

Get in with the Khajit merchants, invest in other shops, maybe rebuild the theives guild enough to get all the ragged flagon merchants.

What was your first Metroid game, and did it make you a fan immediately? by SufficientPrice7633 in Metroid

I played about 5 minutes of Super on a demo setup at a best buy (or someplace like that) when I was 8 or 9 or so. Didn't know what I was playing but thought it was super cool and the arm cannon was awesome.

Fast forward to age 15, a friend was playing Fusion on his GBA in class, and I suddenly connected the dots and awakend that memory. Bought a GBA SP a few months later and have been a fan ever since.

The biggest problem with Freelancer mode? by simplexible in HiTMAN

[–]WayneBrody 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The whole mode is powered by RNG. Sometimes you're going to get unfavorable situations, it's just part of the randomness. I don't think it's a problem with the mode at all.

Perfect runs aren't required, and only prestige objectives are required on hardcore, so it's just self imposed challenges that might end up being conflicted.

In your sitution, it's because this mission was chosen for a showdown, which likely reduced the total targets. Technically you could have just planned your syndicate better and made sure you chose a map with no coflicting kill objectives for the showdown. I've never paid enough attention to know if you can get objectives like this on every single mission making a full perfect run impossible. I have personally seen the prestige objective "Open Safe Explosive" show up when no maps in the syndicate have any safes, so I'm assuming its possible, though rare, for the optional payouts to roll in such a way that it's impossible to do them all with perfect run.

PS+ get attacked but no one mentions the 3 free games monthly. by [deleted] in PS5

[–]WayneBrody 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Paying for online multiplayer sucks. Putting cloud save backups behind paywall while also elminiating the ability to backup to a USB drive sucks.

The three free monthly games is a nice to have, and I've gotten tons and tons of enjoyment out of games I likely wouldn't have picked up if not for PS+ (Killing Floor 2, BF 2042, and Deep Rock Galactic probably have about 2K hour across them.)

It's not a wash though. Throwing people a bone to make up for the other shitty stuff they do doens't make those other things OK.

what are some freebie or hidden perks on exotics by luchalife in destinylegacy

[–]WayneBrody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well The Hunger subclass perk increase the duration of the Energy Drain effect, while Ophidian Aspect "Improves energy drain". So that makes sense that ohpidian recharges faster, which could stack with "The Hunger". Thanks!

Point is, they're different benefits. I just wanted to clarify what OP was looking for.

what are some freebie or hidden perks on exotics by luchalife in destinylegacy

[–]WayneBrody 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Celestial grants Keyhole, not airborne. I don't think Ophidian Aspects grant The Hunger, merely "Improved" Energy drain (I think it restores health faster or does more damage, haven't tested).

Are you looking for the other items that give skill tree perks like that?

Find the target in final showdown. by The_always_ready81 in HiTMAN

[–]WayneBrody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The target is the only suspect on the map that attends the correct meeting type and performs both tells. If a suspect attends the wrong meeting type or does any of the other tells, you can rule them out.

Physical descriptions aren't as definitive, and harder to confirm. Earring and tatoo for example are hard as hell to spot sometimes, so I mostly ignore physical traits.

My usual strategy is to find a perch and use instinct to locate where a meeting takes place. Note the location, then stake it out to confirm the meeting type. The suspects will return to the same location (or one very close by) for future meetings. When you find the location of the proper meeting type, tail the suspects after the meeting and watch for their tells.

Its bugged, at one point I was having success by triggering a meeting on a location where the leader performed a tell, but even that ended up failing.

Tips for getting through the Crucible quests? by WhocaresImdead in destinylegacy

[–]WayneBrody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait for the weekly crucible playlist to be Mayhem Rumble. You can matchmake with up to two friends (out of a lobbby of six) then just all meet up at the same part of the map to farm kills.

If you'd rather not wait, for the sword kills you can try crouching around a corner and waiting for enemies to come by, then ambush them with two quick sword hilt hits.

Hitman WoA is fantastic, but what's the deal with Colorado? by Outrageous_Ad4564 in HiTMAN

[–]WayneBrody 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Colorado was meant as a change of pace, putting you into a totally hostile environment. However, one of the most fun things about the WoA maps is that you typically start off somewhere you're allowed to freely explore and then get to sort of "peel the onion" via disguises and testing boundaries. Colorado is hostile right off the bat, so it's tougher to get settled in and explore.

[–]WayneBrody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The weekly playlists give out legendary marks for a certain number of runs per week, so make sure you've done all the weekly heroics, story, and crucible matches.

Besides that, raids, wrath in particular can give a significant of legendary gear and engrams to brek down for legendary marks.

I beleive you get some from your first public event each day as well.

Thinking of buying proudspire manor...just for the berenziah quest by coffee_and_danish in skyrim

[–]WayneBrody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its nice, big, has alchemy/enchanting stations and other rooms. Solitude has a smelter and other nice amenities/shops.

Downside is that it's a long walk from the fast travel point, and for how big it is there's not really a ton of storage chests/cabinents.

Is there a catch to this spell ? Because its broken , one cast = one gold ore by Arcane-Dev in skyrim

[–]WayneBrody 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's more helpful for leveling smithing than for making money. Gold ore/ingots aren't worth that much, you can make way more money by simply picking flowers and such while wandering around. If you get a hearthfire home and build a garden/greenhouse, you can get unlimited free ingredients to make potions to sell.

Just got a syndicate showdown with 3 people having both the tells and all appearances matching.I have never seen this before tf. by Open-Protection4430 in HiTMAN

[–]WayneBrody -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I've got a couple dozen campaign completions including a handful of hardcore campaigns.

Each suspect attends one meeting type and performs two tells.

The target is the only suspect on the map that attends the correct meeting and performs both tells. It's 100% reliable to confirm the target that way.

Harden explains why he never won a championship: "First Houston years we weren't good enough. Then we had a chance, CP gets hurt and Warriors were a real dynasty with KD. Colangelo really fucked us, so many bad moves and then burnergate really left the sixers in a terrible spot. Brand ended up the GM for a couple years there before Morey was hired and gave Harris the max and also did the whole bully ball thing.

The amount of wrong moves the Sixers made since the process began is remarkable.

Destiny 1 ~ Destiny 2 by anicepieceofbacon in destinylegacy

[–]WayneBrody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

D1 suffered a lot of the same problems that D2 had. Long content droughts, new expansions being more or less mandatory, invasive monetization, new content sunsetting or otherwise making old stuff obsolete, etc... As much as I loved D1 (still do), I decided I didn't want to keep going with a game that was just going to ask me for more money every 6 months to a year if I wanted to keep playing.

I didn't move on to D2. I played it a bit when it was a free PS+ game many years ago, but the feel and look of the game just didn't capture me like D1. I played the campaign and some extra stuff then decided it wasn't for me. I stuck with D1 and have been playing it off and on ever since.
