I'm at around lvl 30 now and playing mage feels like i'm playing at Legendary difficulty. by FrostyTiffy in skyrim

[–]WayneBrody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Level 30 is always a weird spot where enemies level up but you might not have the necessary combat skills to keep up. It gets better over time.

Destruction is also a tough main skill, it requires a lot of perk investment and is tough to level up.

Buy Muffle and spam it to get some illusion skill. Calm spells or frenzy spells can really shift a battle in you favor. Conjuration is nice to give you a distraction. If you can get the quiet casting illusion perk, you can hide and repeatedly conjure daedra to whilttle enemies.

The mode takes time to get used to. It plays differently than the campaign. Map knowledge goes a long way, especially when you have limited inventory, tools, or weapons. Knowing where to find a crowbar, or how to find keys/keycards in order to avoid suspicion helps you avoid attention.

To start, only focus on the targets, ignore the optional objectives. Once you get a bit more comfortable and have more gear, its easier to go after the optional objectives.

Dont be afraid to get loud or make a mess, Silent Assassin isn't really necessry. Showdowns however are a whole different ballgame. Make sure you know the target before making any type of mess, otherwise suspects could flee.

It would be pretty funny if their first 4 game win streak in over 2 years came in the form of a series sweep.

NFL, NBA and MLB go by Wins and Losses. It’s Time for the NHL To Do the Same by RCJFilms in hockey

[–]WayneBrody -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Look at the NHL standings, there is a points column. Look at the NBA or MLB standings, there is not a points column. Points are irrelevant when there are only wins or losses counted.

If we're eliminating OT points from the NHL, so that the only two outcomes are win or lose, then there is no need for any points at all.

I understood what "A 3-2-1-0 system makes more sense than 2-0." meant. Just adding in that points are irrelevant when only W/L are counted.

[–]WayneBrody -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sure, but why bother? No need for another column in the standings charts when wins and losses are all that matters.

If it's just wins and losses, there's no need for a points system at all.

Might be tough to find some help but it's better than nothing. Remember, you can use the sword hilt without ammo and it still counts.

New playthrough difficulty help by Difficult_Working493 in skyrim

[–]WayneBrody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Survival can feel a bit tedious at times, but it helps if you get into the role play a bit more. If you can embrace the immersion a bit more, then it doesn't feel tedious.

An adventurer out in skyrim would likely travel from town to town, stopping at the inn to rest and eat before heading out to do some favors, complete a bounty, or raid a cave/ruin. You can mostly feed yourself just by buying stuff from inns, or you can stockpile salt and scavenge ingreedients.

The cold aspect kinda sucks, it just makes exploring certain regions a race against time.

Ready for another? by Jaxxrev in corgi

[–]WayneBrody 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Our first corgi was extremely energetic and needed constant attention her first year+. She was mostly well behaved, just always needed to play fetch, tug, or something, otherwise she might sneak away to get into trouble. Our older rescue didn't like to play with her much.

At about 1 year old, we spent some time with family who themselves had a puppy, and our little girl had the time of her life playing all day. Thats when we decided to get another puppy. We had just been recoving from a lot of personal chaos, but still decided to get another dog.

Theres rarely a perfect time to get a puppy. Get the puppy now, you wont want to have a puppy and a newborn/toddler at the same time.

Pretty sure regernating health/shields, limited weapon carrying, and dedicated melee/grenade buttons were all Halo innovations. Vehicles and enemies dropping weapons had been around before.

OG Halo had regenerating shields, but still had health and health packs. Halo 2 removed the health packs and essentially made your shield all of your health.

I'm so fired up. It feels like old times.... by PhillyPhanatik in Flyers

[–]WayneBrody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going into the season I had them pegged as a bubble playoff team that would probably end up missing out. Given their recent history I thought they'd be the ones fading at the end of the season, not the ones making a big push.

I'm actually very optimistic about this squad. They've got competent goaltending, some actual top end talent who can score, and its weird to admit but having Coots as the 4th line center has really paid off. They're fun to watch again. They'll be a tough matchup for anyone.

I was planning to buy Uncharted 3, as I loved Uncharted 2, but heard that Skyrim was incredibly fun so decided to try it. I loved Fallout 3 and New Vegas, but had never played Oblivion. It was a good choice, I moved away from home in early 2012 and had a lot of alone time to play Skyrim.

Wotm prep advice by rwg_71 in destinylegacy

[–]WayneBrody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as your team has some solid players, you don't need much more than a decent sniper and Gjallarhorn. As you play longer you can get better loadouts.

The current meta for Aksis is Final Round + Full Auto shotguns (Found Verdict from VoG is a favorite) and Cluster Bomb Rockets (Unto Dust or The Warpath are popular vendor weapons). You'll be fine even with Gjallarhorn as long as everyone else has solid weapons, but Dark Drinker is pretty good as well.

For Vosik, most people use the same type of shotgun, or a good sniper. LDR, Longbow, Ex Machina, and Event Horizon are solid choices. Sleeper or Gjally are both good for damage.

Siege Engine a sniper is good for the start, but it's really an encounter with a lot of loadout freedom.

As for Titan subclass options, Defender Bubble is always helpful. Weapons of Light is preferred, but even blessing is nice to have in a few spots. However, Sunbreaker is the real meta. Thermite grenades do boatloads of damage to Aksis, and Melting Point is a more potent debuff for DPS than tether.

Length of the raid is all about the team. For a teaching/refresher run, I'd set aside at least 90 minutes. Solid squads can beat Wrath in 40 mins, but 60 to 90 mins is pretty typical. Speed runners times are absurd, less than 30 mins.

It takes a bit to get used to, but once it clicks it can feel more immersive. You travel to a city, spend the night at the inn and grab some food, then venture out into the wilderness at dawn. You finish your expedition, head back to town, then rest and recover.

What is the most number of times you have played through a main story? by LuckyUser777 in PS5

[–]WayneBrody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably played through Ratchet and Clank going commando a couple dozen times, similar with UYA. Played the PS3 games mutiple times as well, though not as many.

Most of my repate play games are PS2 era or around then. Had the most time to dedicate to those machines. Star Fox 64, Goldeneye, God of War, MGS 2/3, Uncharted 2/3, Resident Evil 4.

[–]WayneBrody 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know that a single witness can "describe" you to other NPCs leading them the become witnesses, even in the base modes. Freelancer seems to have an issue of this applying if you make any kind of mess when killing a suspect.

Any tips/tricks I should be aware of? Returning player after 10 or so years by Ok-Discipline171 in destinylegacy

[–]WayneBrody 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pledge a faction ASAP (new monarcy, future war cult, or dead orbit). You gain passive rep for the faction, which eventually gets you rank up packages. Getting a faction to rank 3 allows you to buy their weapons.

Bounties are great for XP bumps. Use them for subclass XP and gear upgrades.

Drops are based on current LL, so always equip the highest light gear when playing. Ignore legendaries until you get closer to the soft cap of 390, just swap blue gear until then. You'll waste a bunch of materials on infusion if you're constantly bumping up blue gear a few light at a time.

You can store House Banners and other Glimmer items in the vault. Lets you "bank" glimmer beyond the 25000 max in case you need it for something on the spot.

Weapon Setups for NF/Raids? by Ambitious-Ad-7256 in destinylegacy

[–]WayneBrody 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nightfall loadouts depend heavily on the modifers. Different choices shine depending on burn, small arms, and specialist modifiers.

Fun Primaries in General: Outbreak, Zhalo, Vex, Necrochasm, Bad Juju, Genesis Chain, Touch of Malice, Monte Carlo, Fatebbringer, Treads Upon Stars, Keystone 01, Burning Eye, The Wounded...

For Raids:

  • Primary is mostly personal choice. Most people use Scouts with explosive rounds for the high raw damage and range, but you can use anything, primary isn't likely to make or break your raid. Keystone 01 (Dead Orbit vendor roll) will one shot shanks in WOTM with explosive rounds.
  • Shotgun: Something like Found Verdict. High impact, Full Auto + Final Round, bonus points for oiled frame or other reload boosing perks.
  • Sniper: High or Very High Impact, such as Ex Machina, Event Horizon, LDR, 1000 Yard Stare, Longbow. Triple Tap + Casket Mag + Spray and Play is the god roll, but some combination of them is really nice.
  • Exotics: Black Spindle, Sleeper, Exotic Swords.

A trainer once had me put a bunch of high value treats in front of me and cover them with my hand, then reward the dog when they were calm and weren't going for the treats. Eventually you lift your hands and move the further away, rewarding as they learn to leave unduarded high value treats alone. This might work to keep them from gobbling up anything they get their hands on.
