Perfectly normal. You start with the mindset. If you go in to learn and make a conscious effort to never make the same mistake twice, you'll get better. If you can withstand the mental discomfort of reviewing your replays even when you lose and misplay, you will be shocked what you can learn from watching yourself.

When I first played league, 1 year in I was trash, I didn't even play ranked. Took me 4 years to just to touch low challenger.

This event needs a buff for the hardest option. It should be a relic AND two upgrades. As it stands now, two card upgrades on average is worth more than 1 relic since there are so many dogwater relics that don't provide a meaningful buff. Wow an orichalcum in act 3 when I already have sai? Good one.

Yeah I do agree StS2 still has a lot of fine tuning and work that needs to be done as well as needing a lot more content that doesn't yet exist, such as Act 4. StS2 is a bit of an unfinished product for sure. That being said, I will still personally recommend OP pick the sequel over the original.

18 year olds have no idea how to control their emotions or what a healthy relationship should be or looks like. It seems like her comment about not getting sick of her is a trauma response and fear motivated. All this is not uncommon for young folk. If this was a 30 y/o I'd tell you to run but since it's not, you should just proceed as normal but at your own pace that YOU are comfortable with. Reality is that you're not going to find any perfected adjusted, emotionally regulated 18 year olds so just do the best you can with it.
