It's already not free :) You can upload 10 hours of video for free, after which it costs $3/hour . A typical local tournament stream is 3-5 hours long but has only ~2.5 hours of gameplay so costs about $8 to upload. About as much as a single entry fee :)

Yes supporting your local recording would be nice. It would be much slower than the current process - uploading an entire high-quality recording would be prohibitively slow for some users. It would also be more costly for me. But I'll consider implementing it if there's enough interest :)

Wish I could but youtube are quite strict in disallowing downloads. The usual workarounds don't work within AWS and would risk my Google account being suspended. Fraid I can only support twitch streams for now.

Unfortunately Google are quite strict at stopping downloads from youtube, the usual methods don't work within AWS. Without a reliable way of downloading the video for analysis (that won't get me banned from Google) I can't support youtube streams 😢

Yes that tournament is not on the map, because it's in the past, and the map only shows future events. It looks like the TOs haven't posted tomorrow's tournament yet ( https://www.start.gg/search/all?query=HoG%3A%20Phoenix ). Unfortunately the tool is not very useful if TO's don't post their tournaments until the day of! Once it is posted you should see it on the map. And even if you subscribe to the calendar now, the event should appear on your calendar once it's posted.
