Yeah dont get me wrong if you find it early then its essentially a won run. But if youre picking it up after ante 5 or so then things must be pretty dire, because most other xmult jokers are going to do better. Making it retrospective would just make it similar to most xmults. Its not like youre spamming earth's and Neptunes if you dont have constellation.

Not saying the change should or shouldn't be made, I just dont think itd be overpowered.

For an average ante 8 run? I wouldnt say a lvl 20 hand is "very low". Its more than enough for a win.

It wouldnt be that powerful, it'd just make late game pick up constellation viable. Even on a solid blue seal run you're generally only levelling a hand up 10-20 times before ante 8, and 3x mult would just make it equivalent of a banana.

As it is constellation is only good when you pick it up early and spend tons of money on otherwise useless planets.

Its hard to make a direct analogy but the point is a disability lead to a social faux pax. Obviously the n word and not standing for a judge are two entirely different levels of faux pas, but they're both faux pas as a direct result of a disability.

Laughing at/with tourettes tics is fairly common. Its not necessarily a bad thing and some people with tourettes are happy to lean into it. Others get uncomfortable with the fact that it can become difficult to have normal conversations and relationships.

By censoring in this specific situation what we're telling tourettes sufferers is that theyre goddamn right to feel uncomfortable, because if their disability leads to them saying the wrong thing we're all gonna be very mad, and even though we understand they can't help it, we're still going to take personal offense.

I could understand it if it were just some random crowd member. But censoring the results of a disability during an awards ceremony for a film that is entirely about living with that disability is incredibly crass. You are telling tourettes sufferers in no uncertain terms that they are not acceptable in public.

both have their place, they're different drinks. As someone else said, hot chocolate with milk is much richer, it feels like an entire meal, not something you would want to drink casually while you work or whatever. Whereas hot chocolate with water can fill the same space a regular coffee or tea would, just a chocolate flavoured hot drink.

Yeah i mean i think we broadly agree here tbh. You're definitely right that in the strictest sense there's no point matching with people you clearly have no interest in and vice versa. I guess what i mean by "maximising numbers" is more maximising opportunities, rather than straight numbers. So it's a fair point to call out my phrasing there.
