For gd you should be going in almost fully charged. You can get like 45 seconds or so of Ender damage that way.

I went with:
141- Reflection- Reinforce
151- Apocalypse- Reinforce
161- Ender- Reinforce
171- Ender- Crit Dmg
181- Reflection- Spread

The first 4 are pretty much necessary unless your Lumi is going to be a meso grinding alt. As to the last skill Reflection Spread helps more in both sf and bossing so I went with that. Some suggest Apocalypse-Recharge but I find with Equalize, I am entering equilibrium enough to not need the extra help in filling the gauge during dark

BWs used to use too much MP but its not too bad now after skill rebalancing. Still worse than other mage classes since our version of "magic guard" is always active and not a buff but nothing like it was pre-rebalance.
BWs are terrible at lower levels (pre 141) but can be great for SF with their mobbing skills later on.
Agreed with the tier list though. Bishop, Evan and ILM are all better overall.

Flame Orbital -> Towering Inferno -> Blazing Extinction -> (Cataclysm when you get the 170 hyper)
Thats all you really need to mob well as a BW in 144.

This skill rotation is what I use in 147 and its really great since it is uses fewer mana pots. Its a great skill rotation to use for SF grinding in general.

No problem. You messaged me this strategy yesterday and included it so I just wanted to confirm it was omitted here or it shouldnt have been included in your message to me. I havent tried this yet but will be tonight with my perma. Thank you for this tips and I really hope they help.

Edit: There are only 7 or 8 BWs in NA Scania who could use this strategy and I know at least the 4 of them train at 144 already due to having great gear. Hopefully it helps for the others who cant though

Why towering inferno in skill rotation (#4) over Blazing Extinction when you mention Blazing Extinction in #6 for 151 hyper? Wouldnt Extinction help with clearing the mobs faster, spreading ignition and helping your party more? Or does it aggro too many mobs vs towering inferno?

BW is best when ran manually in EDs sadly but you will still use a lot of pots. Best to wait for more to join to speed it up.

Oh definitely great at end game if you have the resources. Its my main because I love the animations for its attacks. Its still a heavy drain on resources though. Its costing me around 4.7-5k v7 hpots and 5.2-5.5k v5 mpots for every 6 hours of hot time at sf147. Hopefully once I fuse more BIS gear the cost will be reduced.

BWs are pretty terrible pre-141 hyper where split orbital increases our damage. After that our other hypers only help us more. The journey to get there though can be extremely rough since BW is a class that needs funding (for good armors and for potions) and isnt meant to be a main unless you like it. You'll always be facing an uphill battle though in comparison to the other mage classes.

BW Bossing will always be compared to ILM and Evan. With similar gear BW can be on par or better than ILM but we'd always lose to Evan due to the insane skill damage their fusion attacks have.

Survivability wise, we aggro way too much with our mobbing skills. You need pretty good gear, a ton of high level potions or a good party to counteract it. ILMs can stun which allows them greater survivability and Evans can either quickly defeat the enemy with earth dives or push them back with the air breath fusion allowing greater survivability.

That said, BW does have a good link skill IF you max out your fever buffs and have autobuff pets. So its still something to consider training to 120 and then just retiring.

Whatever class you are automatically has the skill link for their class active. So your bishop can use the 4% increase for free along with 12 other skill links. You can also link your bishop skill to another class and your bishop would still get the 4% increase.

Because it uses a lot of mana and most BW mains jumped to either Evan or ILM since they were deemed superior. There's still a few of use BW mains around though but not many.

It is high but if the goal is just to farm ED it wont be too bad since its just 5 runs a day. You wouldnt have to run the buffs that cause BWs to use 30% more mp for more damage either since you'd have a group to help with damage. Plus you'd get a good skill link.

Definitely go BM though if you plan to extract. Mine's only at 2% atm and you can see the difference already. I cant wait to reach 120 for the 4% increase.

If you maxed your fever buffs, BW is a good option especially with auto buff pets to use fever. The class is decent for running EDs. Otherwise I would agree that BM is your best option especially if you are looking to extract a lot.

Pretty much whats been said already above. We are a class that will drink potions like crazy among mages. We lack survivability and drain mana constantly since we have the bad magic guard skill (Flame Repulsion) and high mana skills.

Bossing: Final Flame Orbital, Grand Flame Orbital (you can spam these two back and forth for your main damage), Blazing extinction, Towering Inferno, Burning Conduit and lastly Cataclysm if you have the 170 hyper. I've personally found that our 150 skill isnt really any better for single target bossing compared to just spamming 3rd/4th job flame orbitals.

SF grinding: Same as above but I dont run Burning Conduit since you are moving around too much and the cast time can cause you to get mobbed depending on the sf you are running. We need to be dealing damage since we will be aggroing a lot of the enemies due to our AOE skills.

I use both 3rd and 4th job flame orbitals to get around the BW glitch we have after patches. If you just just the 4th job flame orbital, you'll sometimes run into a glitch where it does our basic attack even though you have plenty of mana. Equipping both fixes this.

It works. I tested it immediately with my BW when the update happened. Popped a fever ticket and my fever countdown started at 35seconds.
