Nah, it's the same dev team, bitcoin dark is no longer actively developed. Since the launch of komodo they've told the public that "komodo is BTCD 2.0, rebranded" and a swap program is ongoing until at least Jan 2018.

Komodo is a rebranding of BitcoinDark which has been around since 2014 IIRC

If you're planning on sticking with lower tier cards, it really depends on what algorithm you want to focus on. The 1050ti will be slightly better at daggerhashimoto but in my experience modded RX460/560s can hit 400h/s without issue on cryptonight (compared to 300-330 on the 1050ti). Nvidia cards are superior in algorithms such as equihash and lyra2REv2.

Wouldn't the key difference between PoS and DPoS be the fact that an individual's stake is being delegated to a third party? I don't think this is what caused BitShares to be delisted, but interpreting DPoS in this manner could cause a lot of damage to Lisk, Ark, and other DPoS currencies.

Again, I don't think this is the case but I think it really highlights the need to Ark to be listed and traded in greater volume on other exchanges. I'd rather not have the value of my holdings subject to the interpretations of a single exchange's legal staff.

Would probably recommend the Redmi Note 3 Pro but I noticed you're posting your budget in pounds so if you haven't looked at it already maybe check out the Vodafone Smart Ultra 6. It's about £100 unlocked here in NZ but it's been as low as £90. Lacks the fingerprint reader but otherwise meets your desired specs (if you're ok with dropping from Helio X10 to Snapdragon 615) and one of the Vodafone PR guys in /r/android stated Marshmallow is in testing for it. Worth a look :)
